SPY REPORT
Greetings warriors! It is I, Zontani Sharp Eyes, here to bring report of the
clash and bustle of the weekly ZUKAL games. PESSAR caught the eye of many in the
gladiatorial commission as he skillfully bested FLOYD TROUT and was awarded 35 points
in recognition. In one of the week's more notable duels, HIS NIBS put down
RESTORATION, causing him to lose 9 points of recognition in the process. Unwilling
to wait upon the will of others, Duelmaster QUEEN OF CLUBS Bloodfeuded THE ZONK last
week in a match to decide the fate of the throne. Not for nothing has QUEEN OF CLUBS
in the past laid claim to the Duelmaster's throne, and this week she's proven hers
combat skill yet again. Would you believe that over half of the old women in ZUKAL
seem to feel that they could fight better than you gladiators?
Many and various are the arts of battle. In ZUKAL "art" is a word that has long
since passed from the language! ZUKAL, city of gladiators! Mighty among the names
of thy guilds is PET SHOP FLOYD, a guild shunned and avoided by many in the weekly
duels. Apparently the stalwarts of RYE THE LIGHTNING are catching the bulk of jests
down at the challenging board for their large share of the avoids. Loose talk at the
arena has reached my ears and it but confirms the knowledge that many fighters are
after IT'S A JOKE, RIGHT?. Watch your back!
What warrior does not hone his years, impatiently waiting for the moment of his
foe's mortality? The warrior's path is harsh. For mediocrity there is but one
reward--death. This past week FLOYD TROUT, at 19-14-0, departed ZUKAL forever. I
have seen warriors die in youth. I have seen women cut down in their prime. This
week WRATHMEN KOGO must mourn the loss of 10-5-1 JOSALYN to PET SHOP FLOYD. Fate is
a fickle mistress. She showers the miserable with fortune but sets enemies against
the victorious. Remember this!
A thought before I go. Each warrior practices one style, but must not the wise
manager learn the secrets of them all? Sadly warriors, now longer can I keep thy
company nor savor the ale of thy fine city. Depart I must and soon! Till next we
