Notes from the arena champ.
Congratulations to Tasalon, my esteemed teammate! He is headed off to the Isle of the
Eye to serve at the behest of Lady Graywand. It is a well earned honor! We all wish
him luck as he embarks on this new stage of his career. Huzzah!!
Secondly, I am not sure what Wagon Driver was thinking. He makes, like, the third
Total Parry I have beaten in the last four turns. You guys keep trying and failing. I
would think by now that I have proven my ability to beat a TP warrior. Will they
learn, and challenge elsewhere for their easy wins? Or do I have to keep pounding them
into the sand?
Larry is headed back for a little night fighting. Yes, he killed one of those night
creatures, so Neon decided to give him another chance. But, he promptly found his
losing ways again, so back he goes. Good luck, Larry.I don't want to curse it, so I
won't mention my own unblemished record. (Damn! I just did.)

SPY REPORT
Greetings, Lapurians, and yes I am still alive, Eoghan McGrimm here taking care of
some old business that happened while I was absent the past 3 rounds. During that time
we had a no less than 7 warriors receive their invite to the Isle, so let's honor them
appropriately. These warriors are numbers 10-16 for the year, which puts us well ahead
of last year's pace.
The first is BASCOMB BRENDEU of BLACK KELTS, who is managed by Purple Sage and his 9th
invitee. His lunger, who came back from the dead last year, finished with a 13-10-0
record. The second is CLANCEE of MID EARTH, managed by Visionist and his 37th invitee,
is a wall of steel and graduated with a 25-15-1 record. The third is CUTS ONCE of
CARDOW HUNTERS, managed by Jorja and her 20th invitee. Her wall of steel warrior
achieved a 23-29-0 record. Fourth is PETRIFIED SPONGE of ARMY OF DARKNESS, managed by
Master Beru and his 4th invitee. His total parry warrior finished with a 31-19-0
record. Fifth is FATES MOTHER of FATES, managed by an unknown manager and is their 1st
invitee. She is a total parry who attained a 16-7-0 record. Sixth is the popular
HOWLER of CARDOW HUNTERS, another managed by Jorja and her 21st invitee. He is a wall
of steel and finished with a 27-24-0 record. Lastly we have number seven, TASALON of
NEON VELVET, managed by Neon Necromancer and his first invitee in Lapur. He is a parry
riposte and finished with an impressive 17-4-0 record.
Thanks to a certain warrior dominating the throne, none of these warriors were ever a
Duelmaster, which slowed their progress in the Challenger Champs. Anyways, well fought
to all of you, you have earned your title as a Lapurian Lord Protector. Also I want to
extend a warm welcome to the new guilds that have entered our arena: TOURIST TRAPS,
BUFFALO TRACE '25, BLUE HERRINGS, DARKATHIAS' DEMONS and WHEREWOLVES. Feel free to
announce yourself and manager in the personal ads or team spotlight section. Good luck
to each of you in the future. Now onto this week's results.
We have fifteen teams in the ranks with only 3 inactive, which accounted for 28 fights
on the sand. Four fighting by torchlight, one bloodfeud challenge, five challenges,
and the remaining 18 being random match-ups. The fight for the title was one of the
random matchups, with our 7-time and still undefeated defending champ SMOOTH OPERATOR
of NEON VELVET fighting exiting Lord Protector HOWLER of CARDOW HUNTERS. After 1 quick
minute, Neon's warrior retained the throne for an 8th time. Am I the only one sick of
hearing his arena entrance song?
In team news, the Bloke and his AVOID ME! crew retained the top spot after 2-0-0.
Moving up from 6th to 2nd is newcomer TOURIST TRAPS, who continued their killing ways
with a 4-1-1. Rounding out the top 3 is none other than Neon and his velvet warriors
after a 2-2-0 showing. The Team on the Move is the returning Visionist and his MID
EARTH group, who gained 62 points this week. The Most Avoided Team this week is
naturally the Bloke and his fear merchants, who were avoided 15 times. The next
closest was 7.
My Fight of the Week...
MILDEW of WHEREWOLVES fought ROLLO of DARKATHIAS' DEMONS. A moldy warrior against a
tasty candy warrior, of course the MILDEW would beat the ROLLO, but it took 6 minutes.
Yeah, yeah, ya they were the two most unpopular. That just shows they need some extra
recognition and besides, it's my choice. Deal with it.

The Biggest Winner is WARIUS, who beat BUSCH GARDENS and gained 23 points.
The Biggest Loser is BUSCH GARDENS, who lost to WARIUS and lost 21 points.
