Notes from the arena champ.
Manager's Address -- Shocking Toad, Killers
Forgive the interruption. Jarck Mysir took it upon himself to speak out of turn in
last month's column, and now I, Shocking Toad, Manager of Killers, stand to set the
record straight.
Jarck Mysir had no business pontificating about the "caliber" of my stable. Let's be
honest-these are awful fighters. Just terrible. Most of them deserve the gallows, and
I have neither the desire, time, nor patience to watch these vile human beings
flounder in the sand.
The sole exception is Jarck Mysir himself. Like him or hate him, unless one of you
steps forward and kills him soon, he might be the only one here with even a sliver of
hope to reach the Isle of the Eye.
As for the rest-Skulvys, Butcharok, Thrajjok, and Gavin-I hereby send them to the Dark
Arena. Killers who can't prove their worth quickly will meet the same fate.
The Killers are not a charity. They are not a shelter for the weak. This is an
execution ground, and I am the judge.

Hail KATI-TEI! Warriors of the arena, prepare to be praised and blamed for your
deeds. FIELDS OF DREAMS stable has parlayed this turn's 3-2-0 into a 3 space move up
the rankings. This brings them up to 2nd place. Good work, guys! The DEATH'S ARMY
guild has had a 3-1-0 turn and deserves to be watched in the future. You never know
where this kind of thing can lead. And let's see, TWITTER BEEF fought CATWALK and
gained 19 points and contributed to FURIOUS FOOD's 1-0-0. SPELLFOIL has lost to I
DRANK WHAT?!, falling 11 points, while helping make NEON MYSTICS a 0-4-0 turn. We
should ask SUN MONSTER about the thrill of victory, and what being the new Duelmaster
does for a warrior, he's now the one to ask. Can someone confirm a rumor for me? I
hear the top team makes their losing fighters do dishes at The Dripping Blade until
they win. Maybe?
I tell you, a green quarterstaff lasts longer than a seasoned sapling. A basher
friend of mine assures me this is true. I also notice that the KILLERS stable was
the most avoided team this turn. Come on KATI-TEI, what are you afraid of? And
avoiding KILLERS more than any other team we find NAWLINS RU2. KATI-TEI, are we
going to accept, or respect this sort of thing? The most challenged warrior this
turn was NEON MYSTICS' warrior EARTHMOVER. More fighters challenged him than
challenged the Duelmaster!
A coward dies a thousand deaths, a brave man only once. Wise men know this to
be true. Is it really true that KATI-TEI has more dishwashers per capita that
fighters? Just thought I'd ask...
Remember, blood on the purple robe does not change it from a purple robe. Dare
to fight bravely. Always good to rest in KATI-TEI, but never good to wear out my
