SPY REPORT
Welcome back to The Spire on this beautiful, sunny day! The wind has been whipping
around the sand, but it was still a great day of sweat, swords, and swearing among our
gladiators. I heard a few managers saying no-no words, too, so our fighters didn't
keep all the fun and debauchery to themselves! Alright, let's take a look at our arena
news for turn 474.
Kirin Ichiban leaves us for the Isle. In a fight of the Lord Protectors, Kirin fought
Orlando in their final Shadowspire duel. Kirin won again but had to relinquish the
throne and depart for Advanced Duel. Congrats to both warriors for reaching
immortality! Well, now we need a Duelmaster! Our championship fight came down to
Refrigerator Perry versus Dainty Leaf. Childhood Heroes' warrior won a close fight
against Dainty Leaf. Perry becomes our newest Duelmaster. He also becomes our newest
graduate, and he will fight a final fight in two weeks. You know what this means? Yep!
We need a new Duelmaster after next week's fights! It never ends.
NBA Legends made their presence felt today with a 54-point gain in the standings. They
also took over the Top Team spot with an 11-4 record. Ale House Mercs and Big Lake
Solution also surged with modest gains among their warriors. It wouldn't be a spy
report without pointing out our most avoided team and the cowards that ran away from
them, would it? Pray the Gods were absent, which has historically been true of the
team after a tournament, yet they were our most avoided team today. Who avoided them
the most, you ask? Clan Longbeard made way when Pray the Gods walked through the arena
halls this week. Orlando was the most challenged warrior, and I have already covered
his fight with fellow Lord Protector Kirin Ichiban.
The Spire hosted thirty-three fights, but only one ended in death. It was a night
fight as Nomad sent Wyrmstake to the Dark Arena with a less-than-desirable record of
4-7. He added a final loss to the record after facing Spymaster. Along with Pray the
Gods, Damoons were missing from the sands. Perhaps everyone will be back next turn for
another fun-filled bloodfest on the sands!
That is all the news worth reporting, so I will exit stage right. I will see you again
in two weeks, where we can continue this awkward relationship of a famous spy reporter
and an adoring audience. Seriously, let's keep the requests for autographs and court
summons to a minimum. I have places to be! Until next time, fight hard or die
