REPORT FROM WITHIN THE TOWER
Well now, darlings, gather close and listen to what the winds whispered to me about
this turn. Well, it wasn't so much of the winds whispering as it was me watching it
all unfold for myself. The "winds whispering..." has a much more calming flow to it,
though, so we'll stick with that one. Once again, Andorak is not bursting at the seams
with battles, but we do enjoy the brief day of festivities all the same. Let's take a
quick look at all that transpired!
Our reigning monarch remains firmly planted as the King's Sentinel. Sitting pretty and
powerful, Savory was able to overcome Jalapeno Business and his spicy advances. Based
on the style matchup, we knew it could be a quick fight. Ahem, we prefer to say
'brisk' to avoid upsetting the locals and their mild manner. The title stays with
Savory, and in all seriousness, it does not look like it is going anywhere soon.
Let's talk about Stylemasters and sprinkle a little stardust on the arena's elite.
Now, my darlings, in a place like Andorak, reputations glitter brighter than a
lightning wand.
Aimed Blow: Savory is still feasting at the top.
Parry-Lunge: Hungry Hippo remains hungry and our top Plunger.
Striker: Gertrude has ups and downs, but continues as the top Striker with grace and
grit.
Lunger: Jalapeno Business is still our spicy warrior of lunging, though he did get
washed out with a glass of milk this turn.
Wall of Steel: Dark Helmet is as stubborn as ever and represents the Wastes of
Andorak. Tied with Aimed Blows, Walls of Steel are the most populous style, though not
as consistent as their precise brethren.
Slasher: We only had a lone Slasher in Andorak for the longest time, but finally,
another has entered the arena. Tusk bit into more than he could chew today, but is our
top Slasher.
Parry-Strike: Daskinor knows that everyone told him to learn the striking attack style
in his youth. Stubborn, he did not listen. Does he regret it? Probably, but for now,
he is the Piker stylemaster in Andorak.
Basher: Let's Dance is still dancing to the tune of top Basher... somehow.
No deaths this turn, just plenty of bruised egos and battered pride. Those wounds may
last a bit longer than death in the advanced games. I don't think the healers have
developed a potion for those ailments. Huard, the Free Blades spy reporter, just
whispered: "Alcohol fixes those issues." I would not recommend listening to him. He is
a bad influence.
Remember this wisdom, sweeties: In the quieter turns, the clever grow strong. The
patient sharpens their blades. The bold? Well, they make their move when no one
expects it. So, keep your eyes open and your wards at the ready. Andorak is never
really quiet; she is just waiting.
