There are currently 8 teams in 93. Two of us (Consortium and I) are active players, there to answer questions and help steer the new / returning players in the right way. There are players that return to the game with a lot more skill and there are new players that come through 93. It is a lighter entry than going straight to an active arena, but there are times when 93 is pretty tough. Consortium and I run what we are given, without using the DA at all, so some/most of the warriors we run in 93 we wouldn't run in our normal arenas, but yes, we are both experienced and aren't generally giving bad strategies to our warriors there.
Welcome back!!! And welcome to your son.
Besides Discord, there is more activity on Chatzy:

Thanks! Our setups were set to go out tonight (I ordered a few extra, sounded like a great idea) so we are looking to get our teams built ASAP!
To the sand!

Welcome back Burchard I just returned last month after a 30 year + absence. I have found that the community is super helpful I really would suggest reading the old arena 93 newsletters - the forums here - and the Chatzy channel. I am still learning and have found that has been super enjoyable playing an offline game.

You all make a guy feel glad he came back! Thanks!
I sent in an email Saturday as well as the online setup request. If I want extra setups (pool of potential meat shields), should I just email?
I haven't gotten a reply yet to my initial inquiry, but I assume setups go out like once a week? Every other week?
I would email Sandy directly at
Sandy@reality.com
. you can also request mini overviews so you can see what teams / warriors you have currently.

Welcome back! I returned in '99 and been playing ever since in regular arenas (listed below). The core game has changed amazingly little but there is still tons of competition if you know where to look, and depth of strategy!
I suggest to all new/returning players to not just request the one free team sheet from RSI, but buy at least a few ($5 each) so you have a bunch of warriors to "roll up" or design. Not all team sheets are created equal by any means, if you get a crappy one your guys could do poorly and boom you quit again in no time. You can post individual rollups, design ideas, or whole team sheets on here and the vets will comment on them and give plenty of advice! Check out the forums on here, years worth of rollup advice just waiting!
Hope you and your son stick with it and have fun, see you on the sands!

Welcome Back!!! There is a Discord page but most use Chatzy. While Discord is better, many of us are on the older side and reluctant to give up what we are familiar with.
This is the link to the Discord page.

Posted: Sun Jan 28, 2024 8:57 pm Post subject: Back for a third time!
My first time was back in 1989 as a teen. I think I ran half a dozen turns and then ran out of money lol.
I came back in 2007 and ran for over a year, graduating one fighter.
Now my son is 18 and we got to talking about the golden age of pbm and I checked to see if this game was still around.
It is!!! I am going to give it another go and my son will run his own stable as well! It's been a minute...or 17 years...so I am hoping to land back in Noblish Island with him to start.
Does the game have enough "new" players to support 93? Or will it be him, me and some veterans letting us win from time to time?
Lastly, I found Chatzy, but is there a discord (my son wants to know)?
