Received results in mail. Replacement I DA last turn was 10-4-20-9-21-9-11, which isn't bad for a size 20, but I am already playing catch up for 2nd round robin and don't need a lunger. He came back Tremendous damage and +3-4 Init.

New replacement is possible double 21, unfortunately it is in SP and DF (10-3-12-4-9-16-16), so I am making him a double 21 AB and sending him to DA. Also don't bother challenging Tuvek, he is going to the DA again, he is a burner that just isn't learning.

Still no job offers, so not sure about activity after turn 200.

3-2-0 for the Diner. Lost the DM throne and forgot to send in my DM column Sad

Here's what I was going to send:

Quote:
Aww yeah, baby! It's your favorite un-limp shrimp here, Prawn Star in the house! It's been 19 turns since the last from Otto's Diner sat up in here, but that streak is over, baby! And, yes, that is a dagger in my pocket *AND* I am happy to see you! Uh, uh, uh.

Yorkie baby, you didn't live up to your rep. That big stick you had in your hands seemed to be too much for you. Gee, where have I heard THAT before? I hope I didn't cut you up too bad. It'd be a shame to mess up that pretty face of yours. Those folks on the Isle will keep you alive, but scars are forever. Which reminds me, when you see that Sheila babe, tell her I'll call her when I get there in a couple turns. I'ma wanna meet her. Uh, uh, uh.

Hahah wow, just got my turn back. Someone ran my TP by accident, ALE/S, BA, no backup, 10-10-7 Decise! I think I may have found his favorite weapon!

'Search the Sky' has returned... as I'm sure many noticed. Not the flashiest turn, but a 2-3-0 ain't bad when two of the losses were in the Dark Arena. The replacements are just shy of terrible. I put one of them (the better one) out there in the forums to get some ideas, but honestly there just isn't much in the way of options.

I have to ask (I apologize ahead of time; I realize I probably asked this a while back) :

Am I the only manager getting some REALLY sucky replacements? I mean, if it's not just me, then it doesn't matter so much. We're all playing on a level playing field, right? Wink

Still... it's a daunting proposition to play in the same arena with a lot of veteran managers, and me just holding a pair of 3's, know what I mean? Hopefully I won't have to take any more breaks ... at least, not for a long time. Long enough to get ahold of the throne a few times, anyway. Very Happy

That's too bad. Was hoping you were making a return. Coming back anytime soon?

I may stop by turn 200. But thats it. Football season keeps me insanely busy plus I am in way too many Hyborean War games at the moment. I will be in the Slaughter Challenge in DM 28 and probably send a few to the mailer in the fall but thats about it for now.

3-2 for the Warmasters this turn. My 2 losses were my own fault by a couple of overly aggressive up challenges to foes with significantly more FE than my warriors.

Disappointed to see my adds weren't included in the newsletter. Oh well, I did send them later than I should have. For those that are interested, here they are....

Nice to see some new and returning faces here in Shadowspire. Welcome Deer Lake Boneyard and welcome back Club Cutthroat. Glad to have you here. - Vanek, Manager of Warmasters

Hominid - Yeah, that was uncalled for. I am still walking with a limp. - Caligula

Druecke Space - I almost had you. I am convinced I could beat you on a rematch, especially on my own challenge. - Nero

Cult of Bacchus - 2 graduates in 1 turn. Pretty impressive, congrats. - Vanek

Sisyphus - I was shocked to see you didn't have some lame boast to offer after your victory. Oh well, I guess even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time. - Thelonius

All - Remember next turn is turn 200! Let's try to get everyone to send in a personal ad or story if possible. I think it would be pretty fun to receive a super-sized newsletter next turn! - Vanek

A dissapointing 1-3 for the Cult. Strange endings to a couple of those losses too! Looks like the RUGs are ginding out the bigger replacements, my last 3 have been SZ 15,13, & 13!

3-2-1 for the Longbeards, while going 1-1-1 in the Dark Arena.
