Greetings, all. I'm a long-time newbie who is interested in resuming and/or starting over in Duel Masters / Duel 2. I started waaaay back in the late 80's or early 90's, and only played a dozen or so turns in Slow arenas, due to finance issues.
I got a new team at some point 15 years ago at a Strategicon convention, but apparently never played the team afterwards. Interestingly, when I asked for the Minis of my old teams, this was the only one that showed up. I'm not too concerned about it.
But it was at this year's Orccon that I finally got a bug to try DM again - at the very end of the convention, when all but one round had already been run. I opted not to enter the last round, and have a bright new team to take into 93.
I'm sure that most, if not all, of my current Warriors will end up getting tossed in the Dark Arena, to be replaced with better-built characters, but I intend to go at least 3 rounds with the ones I have now and see how I can do with them. It should be interesting.
So... hello again, for the first time! |

Welcome back to the game!
ask all the questions you can think of and post away. It is a great game with a lot of great managers who are willing to help. |

I've gotten lots of help from the Chatzy crowd and the two Help sites - enough to know why the characters I already have are crap. |

Well, you have two shiny rollups on their way now. Remember - DM 32 - Arvat! See you there! |

Seems like I've got a lot on my plate now. The Animaniacs team (the 15-ish year old one) is going to Sunset/21, the Steampunk team (created at this year's Orccon) is going to Noblish Island/93, and an entirely new team that I don't even have the roll-ups yet for will be going to Arvat/32.
I hadn't intended to jump in quite this deeply, but given that I'm going to need a lot of practice and experience to get up to speed, this will certainly help. |

3 teams or so is a great number to start with. You will always have a turn coming up to think about but not so many that you get overwhelmed!
Glad you are enjoying it! |

tDO's sheets arrived today. It's interesting, to say the least. Both sheets are very low on Speed - one has four with 6 SP or less, the other has four with 8 SD or less. And in both cases, the one with normal-ish SP has either very low WT or very low WL. =O_o=
It's a puzzle, and I'll work with it a bit before I call out for help. =^_^= |

Speed is almost universally considered to be the least important stat these days, even when designing offensive "speedy" type styles, so consider that a blessing! Happy designing! |
