Hail fellow managers,

I want to first thank everyone who purchased Blood Games, the second novel set in the Duel II reality.

I recently added a Duelmaster web site with a few Duel II links I found, as well as a supplemental blog about My-re, the main character in the novel and her invite to the Isle of the Eye. I’ll add additional spotlight content about every two weeks to coincide with the Talahya newsletter in Arena #100.

The link is below:
http://markgmanley.wixsite.com/duelmasters

If there are any other Duel II links that you think would be beneficial, or anything in general to make this Duel II site better, let me know.

Humbly,

Mark if I drive down to Olathe will you sign it? Wink

Seriously, the book arrived a few weeks ago and it's next on my list. Looking forward to it!

Hi Darkheart,

I'm planning on attending the Face-to-Face in Arizona this January, so if you are also planning on attending, bring it with you. I'd love to discuss Duel II, as well as your thoughts on the novel.

Just let me know and see if I can save you a trip to Olathe.

Hail fellow managers,

I wanted to pass along the publisher of the latest Duel II novel, Blood Games, sent me a promotion code of PRINT (in all caps) for 20% off the paperback novel at time of checkout.

The direct link to the book at the publisher’s site is below.
http://www.blackrosewriting.com/sci-fifantasy/bloodgames

Also, through the Face-to-Face weekend, I’ve lowered the electronic version of the first Duel II novel, Dark Arena, to $2.99 on Amazon.com. In addition, I have a few copies left of the paperback version. The electronic version of Blood Games is also available at Amazon.com.

The direct link for all of them is below.
https://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=mark+g+manley

For those of you in Arizona, I believe they have a few copies of Dark Arena at BookMaze.

Also visit my web site for additional Blood Game content every two weeks to coincide with the Talahya newsletter in Arena #100.

Good luck on the sands!

Hoping to see Mark at the FTF for signing.
Bought on Black Rose (site above) at 20%.
Looking forward to reading on the plane to Tempe.

P.S. Loved the first one!

That was 20% off. (Not at 20%!)

Hi Consortium,

Thank you for the shout out! I suspect you will enjoy Blood Games as much as Dark Arena.

I'm looking forward to seeing you and everyone in Arizona!

Good luck on the sands!

Hail fellow managers,

For managers who don’t frequent the forums, I'm bringing a few copies of the RSI Duel II novels, Dark Arena ($13) and Blood Games ($15) or both for $25 to the F2F. If anyone is interested in a signed copy, just let me know (via a message or in the forums) and I’ll bring an additional one.

I’m excited and looking forward to seeing and talking to everyone in Arizona next weekend!

Good luck on the sands!

Just a bump to get rid of a non-Duel II post.

I finished reading Blood Games last week, and thought it was great! (No, it didn't take me that long to read, I just didn't start it for a while). It kind of reads like two stories, followed by two epilogues. The first half being more Duelmasters based, the second half I wasn't expecting it to get all D&D like that, but I'm glad it did. We don't see much of the magic side of Alastari very often. Good job, I see a lot of improvement in the storytelling vs. the first one.

Like Buri, we greatly enjoyed them both and highly recommend them.

Hail Fellow Managers!

I couple people expressed interest in the Blood Games novel at the Face, so first that was exciting and thank you very much!

I'm bringing a few copies of Dark Arena and Blood Games with me today. I'm wearing a red Harry Potter t-shirt, so if you are interested come on by the table I'm sitting at. It'd be a pleasure meeting you and talking about Duelmasters and fantasy novels.

Good luck on the sands for Day 2 of the Kansas City, F-2-F and safe travels back to your home (arena)! May your caravan not have any layovers.

Hail Managers of Alastari,

As I’ve been writing the mini-spotlights in Arena #100, the next novel in the Duel 2 reality is currently underway and tentatively titled, Blood Feud.

One of my main goals in writing Dark Arena, Blood Games, and Blood Feud is to give additional exposure to Duel2 and ideally help bring back old managers and acquire new ones for the sands. It is with this thought in mind where this time I’m seeking an agent to help get this novel into one of the big publishers. It can then transform from just being on Barnes and Nobel’s web site to actually in the stores.

It is this effort where my fellow managers can be of assistance. Besides sales, one thing agents look for is the number of positive reviews of an author’s novels. This helps indicate the author has an established reader base. So, if you have read Dark Arena and/or Blood Games, I would like to humbly request a positive review on Amazon.com when you have a few extra moments of time.

Also, if you have read the novel, and the opportunity arises, lend it out to fellow managers, friends who may become potential new managers, anyone with an interest in fantasy novels, and ask if they would write a review when finished.

If you have not read either, I invite you to click on my web site in my signature page below. It has a synopsis and the first chapter of each novel, as well as images and previous spotlights for Arena #100. If you love Duelmasters, as I do, I believe you’ll see I captured the lore of the game within the novels’ pages. Then share the web site, like it, and with everyone’s help it will open up the world of Duel 2 to others.

Thank you for your time, continued support, and here’s to seeing the glory of the sands return to Alastari!

Good luck on the sands!
