haven't tried any low DF lungers, so thought i'd see what happens with:

15-5-9-17-17-14-7

what say you all?

I'd rather make it a BS/HA wielding SL or a BA, but low DF lungers can win too. I'd think it would do fine most likely. Stick with the SS for low armor and SH for heavier, once it learns some attack you can try LO/LS. Good luck with it except against me, in which case I will kill it. Cool

That's the design we would choose, but we make it a SL.
Alternatives:

Why wouldn't any of you make this 15-5-9-17-17-14-7 into a lunger? I think of my own design before I read everyone else ideas. I thought the same thing. Don't lungers start off with a higher skill base? Am I imagining you guys saying that?

Sure, higher skill base. General thinking is that a LU might be hurt more by the physicals. Hence, we like SL/BA/ST (that order) for this design. But, sure, a LU will work, and if we were all SL/BA/ST'd out on a team, we would consider it.

Well, the way I see it: Lungers do have the best bases, but they are the most defensive of the offensive styles, and arguably the slowest. They also don't learn decisiveness very well, so while this design starts out with a bit of speed, it's not enough to keep up with the Strikers and Bashers after the beginning stages of their careers. With that in mind, Lungers need that defense to fall back on, and with the low DF, this one if going to be hurting in that area.

Another design would be 15-5-9-17-13-14-11 ST/BA, you lose 2 Dec but pick up one Att skill, and get better weapon selection with the same Endurance.

Philthball, I just remembered that a friend of mine had this design a couple of years ago. Hed made hte warrior a slasher. I don't know how it turned out because he rage-quit before he got his overviews.

For what it's worth, I have a 7 DF lunger. Starting stats of 14-10-4-21-17-11-7. Graduated 18-1-2, but was in a limited participation arena, so a lot of those wins were stand-ins, but a win is a win.

So low deftness lungers are fine. (There is a famous 3 deftness lunger that TC'd). However, this guy probably isn't it. High speed/low con/low deftness suggests offensive.

If I wanted a lunger from this one (which I can't imagine wanting with such nice basher stats, but that is me), I'd go: 15-5-9-13-17-14-11 (Lose the 17 wit, but gain LO suitability and one defense/attack skill)

I think the 15/17-5-9-17-17-14-7/5 BA/SL/ST is the way to go.

Thanks for the input, fellas. I did stick with my design, as a LU, and he has started off fairly well. Much like the majority here, my first thought was a BA, but just wanted to try something different, to see what happens...
