The Embassy Suites is wearing down and really needs updating and cleaning. The Pandemic has lessened services and the workers are quite untrained. (It seems) I could list the issues, but there are many. (double digits)
Where else could one go and have people/friends from such a diverse area to interact with.
Examples:
My Table - California, Washington, South Carolina
My Golf - Virginia, Washington, South Carolina
Hosts - Arizona
Tables on either sides of us - Wisconsin, Illinois, Nebraska
and at least 5 or 6 other states were represented in the near 30 people there.
I guess one would have to say the highlight of my tourney was the Rollup Drop at the end. (Prize won from the last King Of Primus event) I felt rather foolish, at 76, trying to catch any fluttering RU sheets, but thanks to my helper, Studcraft of The A.A. (figure that), we (meaning he) captured 20ish sheets and the three I selected each had one nice tournament warrior and a couple of other possibilities total.
Tournament-results wise, it was one of my weakest, entering 43 warriors (none in Freshman and up) plus 3 Crapmaster hopefuls (Congrats to Mannequin the new Crapmaster!) yielding 52.4% w/l, and only one TV. (basher) Note: I do not believe I have ever had zero TVs in an FTF, so this makes or matches a new low)
There were very minor issues by RSI running the event and it came off very well. I applaud the gals once again.
I was in Phoenix Friday through Wednesday and had a GREAT time!
If you have never attended an FTF, you are missing out on a great experience, some great fun, and adding some true new friends.

I would agree the Embassy Suites aren't living up to their billing. But I stayed in another not that long ago for work and it was the same.
They told me to come back at 3:00 when I checked out because they didn't know how to bill me for a split check lol.
If it's like this next year, I'd be fine with going to a cheaper hotel.
See the Roll-Up Drop can bring enemies together for a common goal!

Enemies? When were we ever enemies?
The Roll Up Drop did something, all right!
It was fun, but thanks to Studcraft, my draftee, it ended positively.
Thanks, Stud!
