The Turf War moderators have met and discussed the rules and determined that the intention of the rule language was not to prevent participation, but to prevent teams from entering the arena through team transfer and being able to challenge without being avoided or challenged.

As such, the following changes to the rules are in effect:
There are no disqualifications for not appearing in the newsletter on Turn 452.
Scoring for teams that are not listed in the rankings on turn 452 will begin the turn after they are listed in the newsletter. This includes both team and alliance points/wins. (If a team appears on Turn 1, their contribution to fights/wins begins on Turn 2).
However, if a team appears on Turn 1, the fights on Turn 1 WILL count for the purpose of their participation award (obviously, teams that appear after turn 1 are not eligible for the participation award)

In the future, the rule language will reflect the intention of rules, allowing for teams and alliances to join after turn 1, but not allowing team transfers to gain an advantage.
