Good morning! For all who don't know...there is an AMF bowling alley right across the street from the site of the hotel RSI uses for the FTF.

I'd love to host a "Duel bowling event" of some sort if we have enough interest. I am familiar with the staff (I'm secretary for a travel league that is currently bowling at that house), and I'm certain we could reserve the time on a Friday afternoon/evening to accommodate us. We could of course consider other times...

I realize flying bowling ball(s)/bag is inconvenient but if we have enough folks who want to participate it could be worthwhile, and a fun addition to the face. Respond here if you think you might have interest in that and we can consider whether or not to make this happen!

There will also be allegedly a golf gathering Friday, assuming Vlad/Jermin get an announcement/invite out.

Consortium beat me to it. All still TBD, but if there are any other golfers that want to take part in the 3rd Annual Tempe Invitational, let me know or post in this thread. We typically do twosomes but, depending on interest, we could explore other options.

Team Hokies are 2-0 against people who wear bright orange.

To keep costs down and ensure everyone can pay the winners all those sweet skins, we'll likely land at a decent muni.

@DNoble, thanks for letting us share your extracurricular thread!

Bowling and Golf!

Wowser!

(The Hokies are devious, adding near-professionals, and scratch handicappers to their ranks. Will DNoble do the same? ANYTHING FOR A TC, they say.)

I'm all about fairplay - sandbaggers are softly or loudly disparaged depending on their size!

If the golf event ended early enough for all to attend to food, restoration, and last input before the bowling commenced I could see there being time for both. I could assist by bringing in dinner from Sal's pizza.

Willpower to do both on top of everything else may be another matter haha!!

I'm in for bowling, my left-handedness never allowed me to learn golf properly.

So IF we include Boss Rat - we are at 4 so far. Keep responses coming as we get closer and things around travel get clearer! The more we get, the more options we have for a team-based event, or "tournament" of some type.
