Premise: Every manager uses the exact same rollup sheet, design those 5 warriors anyway you want, and enter the team with 0 FE and no prizes. The contest ends the turn after the first warrior graduates.
Where: Dullens DM 13 (will run at a standard fast arena speed, every 2 weeks.)
Buy-In: 3 Certificates: 1 to design your team, and 2 for prizes. Option for a fresh team for an additional 4 Certificates (You may only ask for a fresh team once, and it will eliminate your first rollup.)
When: First turn due date, September 12th. (Managers may start at any time after the first turn, but that may put them way behind in advancing their gladiators and may jeopardize their endurance awards.)
How: Email CSR@reality.com with your designs using the rollup sheet below. Email thaak13@yahoo.com separately without the designs to let Tallow know you are playing.
Prizes:(Note: All prizes must be applied to warriors on this team, and may not result in an out-of-bounds warrior. All prizes may be awarded as they are won.)
1. First to reach:(Duelmasters are considered the same Arena Rank as their RP would imply) a. Challenger Initiate: +1 Bonus Pot, 1 entry cert.
b. Adept: Zap, +5% entry certs
c. Challenger Adept: limited max damage, +10% entry certs
d. Champion: Know Favorites, +15% entry certs
e. Challenger Champion: Limited Immortality (save vs. only one death), +15% entry certs
f. Duelmaster(after 15 turns): Choose One Favorite (rhythm, weapon, learn, or tactic), +20% entry certs
g. Graduate: Super Zap, remaining entry certs
(The following prizes will all be awarded after an additional turn after the turn the first warrior graduates)
2. Best Overall Team Record(minimum 100 fights or 95% total possible fights, whichever is higher): 4 Endurance Pots
3. Endurance Award(minimum 100 fights or 90% total possible fights, whichever is higher): 1 Zap & 1 Bonus Pot
4. Longest sequential hold of DM title: Choose One Favorite (rhythm, weapon, learn, or tactic, and may be marginal)
5. Most Contest Prizes: Rename Arena or +1d6 SZ Potions to be used on a single warrior.
6. Most Arena Awards: Team fights for free for 10 turns.
7. Most Challenged Team:(as determined by the spy report noting the most challenged warrior) May make TV challenges with one designated warrior on this team until the next tournament or 3 months, whichever is longer.
8. Most Avoided Team: (as determined by the spy report noting the most avoided team) Max Damage
9. Most Bloodfeuded Team: +2 CN potions to be used on a single warrior.
Tiebreakers: Being Duelmaster; RP; head-to-head; PP; individual record; record against like opponents; kills; team record; death match
Death: Normal replacement rollups and that warrior can still compete in this contest.
Dark Arena: Managers may use the dark arena as they wish, but dark arena cycling to get the best warrior possible will remove that warrior slot from counting toward the endurance prizes. Managers may use the Dark Arena as follows:
- One DA per warrior will be allowed anytime during the contest and all fights will count toward the endurance prizes.
- After the first DA, that warrior slot must wait 5 fights before they can be DA’d again and still count toward the endurance prizes.
Fun: At the end of the tournament, folks nominate and then vote on several categories of roleplay. The winner of each category gains 1 zap. Individual managers may not win more than 2 of these. (A panel of several contestants and/or at least one non-contestant will help tabulate).

Tournaments: While this event starts at 0 FE, there will be no restrictions to tournament play during the contest. (This contest starts exactly 4 turns before the October Mail-In tournament, so all contestants that fight all 4 fights will be fully timed 4 FE for Apprentices.)
Out of Contest and/or Tournament Prizes: No out of contest or tournament prizes may be awarded to any of these warriors, during the contest. The normal 6 months to use a prize that can only be used on warriors of this team will be waved until after the contest is over and a new deadline of 3 months after the contest has finished.

Hey everyone, please remember that this contest is supposed to start at 0 FE on the first turn due September 12th, 2026. That means, even if you've already gotten your overviews, please do not enter your Race for the Crown team into the Rookies at the Charlotte FtF happening this weekend.
Other than being against the rules, consider that only a handful of us have even submitted our teams, and only one of us that I know of has received their overviews. So that means only a few of us would get the extra Rookie FE on our warriors and thus would be unfair to the vast majority who haven't submitted a team.
So, apparently some folks emails have been going to my spam folder (even after creating a filter to filter emails into a special folder). I clean my spam folder every couple weeks. So here are the people I have so far in the contest. If your name is here and in the list of those I haven't received entry emails from, please reforward me that email. If your name isn't here and you did enter, please reforward me that email. Thanks!
Hey everyone, just a reminder, the first due date is Saturday, September 12, 2026 (9/12/26).
We are getting right up to it if you still have not entered a team. Need to give RSI time to input your team. While I prefer hard copy overviews, at this time, I would suggest asking for both Email and hard copy overviews, so that you have them to write your strats. At this point, it also may be a good idea to fax your strats in.
