I would like to see a change to the polling rules such that an individual user ID and IP address can only vote once. This would help avoid a single manager or groups of managers "shilling" the voting by submitting repeated votes on an issue and skewing the perception of RSI and other players on game matters.

The favorites prize "sucked" and we continue to vote "thumbs down" every time we get a chance.
But we have to admit that The Sentinel's suggestion has merit - for once.

On the other hand, Travis, Managerr and Us are now getting tired of being the only ones who vote. Get with it!

Absolutely loved the prize. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it. Just too lazy to vote.
Judging from the number of warriors thrown into rookies, it seems like quite a few others wanted hte prize as well.

Well, you certainly got your "hands full with it" - and deservedly so.
You can "have" the prizes, but we greatly covet the TCs.
I understand--and thanks. The mailin should be an easier tourney to pick up the 'coveted' TC. The prize is likely to be ressurection/immortality, and many warriors will be held back for the favorites likely to be offered in January.

I'm glad you pointed that out. It was the second smallest rookies tourney since they combined Rookies and Novices. The smallest Rookies tourney was last Tempe. (No one wanted SZ Potions either!) Just think of how small it would have been if 2 managers hadn't combined for over 200 of the Rookies.

??Really?? Wow. Listening to Sandy talk about it, I presumed it was obscenely large. My bad.

This is really for Dwayne specifically. What, in your opinion, does everyone want? I was thrilled with faves, but was apparently in the minority. If size is considered weak too, what is considered good?

Well Rookies was still insanely huge (699 warriors), but that's what happens when you KILL THE NOVICES(Apprentices) TOURNEY to add another tournament class for tournament managers that hardly anyone enters. It's been 700+ ever since they killed Novices. What did they expect?
Unpopular doesn't necessarily mean weak. SZ is an overpowered prize for it's level, it's just that it's not a level that the majority of people can use it at. Faves is more of the same. Nice prize and semi-useable at all levels, but a lot moreso at the top than at the bottom.
I think that based on the other polls, most managers want prizes that can give them an instant tourney advantage. (Just in lower classes) The +10 learned skills was incredibly popular as were the +5 stat trains. Clone and stat switches are the most popular basic only prizes.
For me personally, I care about all levels of the game and want to see the prizes balanced out to reflect that. It seems that for the past few years we've had 90% top end prizes with a token Immortality/Resurrection every other year during October. It's time for a clone or a stat switch or something more creative for the non top-end managers. DYO is the only basic prize I'm not too enthused about, just because there are already so many of them going around from Bloodgames. (But I'd certainly take it over more of the top end crap where I have more prizes than I have warriors to use it on, but can't trade most of it away otherwise it will be used against me)

I think you might be underestimating the use of faves on a basic warrior. Granted, it's a risk, but imagine a sandbagging aimed blow with Bonnie-like favorites? I will likely use at least one of mine at that level. Of course, I'll probably wait until after the upcoming immortality is available...
On an unrelated note: I, too, have more potions than I have warriors to use them on. That won't stop me from trying to topple Bonnie from her perch at the top.

I don't know. I would guess that I've won/traded for more favorites prizes than anyone else since 2000 and I've used 90% of them in basic tourneys. (Bonnie being my only ADM warrior whose favorites I've switched) I've yet to receive one basic TC with it. (Although I've gotten several runner-ups and a few of them are still in basic) The problem is that favorites alone simply aren't enough. Even if you stack learn/rhythm/weapon, you need to have the right roll-up, right bonus, etc. and I don't think that most managers simply have the resources to invest in that--even in what is a low percentage play. Compare that to the return ratio on a clone prize or the +10 skills prize. For me, the TCs didn't start coming until the ADM classes. I still have a couple of them in basic though (and one's dead and will eventually come back) so that may change.

This is a good point. And to be fair, I am spreading my faves in both basic and ADM, so maybe I should have described it as a 'non primus' prize rather than basic prize. Of course, I'll be trying both, so we shall see. I susepct that if you are willing to sandbag under the new challengers rules, though, you could pick up a couple of TCs once you get enough skills. No proof of this, obviously.
And it is certainly a great top-end prize. I was just trying to make the case that its value is broader than that.
I always figured the reason it wasn't used more in basic/lower ADM was b/c they would garner top doller from us foolish Primus managers.

Hmm...I actually do have the perfect ABs to try it on already in Challengers.
With my luck, I'd probably runner-up to Spaz though....
