Since I'm keeping my team a secret for now I'll just say I did win and did lose....so I'm not the 0-5 team or the 5-0

Arena full of Bashers and the style still sucks! Couldn't help but chuckle at the NL posting and this gem below.
Turn 430 was not so great if you used the fighting styles:
BASHING ATTACK 44 - 50 |

Sorry Darque, I couldn't hear you over all of the chicken squawking that just erupted.
The one thing I learned from the first turn is that bashers can be just as versatile as any other style in terms of how you design and run them. None of my warriors used the same design/strat and all were successful. Of course, there will be those basher bashers that don't have the guts to come to the arena [camera pans to Darque and Nomad playing dolls] and will hide behind the style's so-called "limitations." Coincidentally, many of those who diss the style haven't really explored it; i.e. I've met few basher experts among experts of other styles. I'll end with this proverb: "The man who says it cannot be done, should not interrupt a man who is doing it."
Come on out and play Darque.

You are alleging there is a hypothesis where stone cold facts reside. Can't be bonused in decise, usually get hosed in damage rolls, have little to no value post-Basic, sucky weapon selection, sucky weapon damage, etc, etc. Yeah, perhaps it is the bitterness of watching a 155 total skill Basher crap out in the last CHAMPIONS tournament that has colored my opinion of them, but who knows.

My dad was a HUGE basher fan. Have seen many variations on the designs (probably not as prolific and varied as Assur, but he is the exception, not the rule).

Expert is an overused term in this game when it comes managers and styles. Expert implies repeated success. While there may be many Basher "fans" there are few "experts".

As I told you before, if I could afford it I would be there. Even though Basher is my 13th favorite style, only slightly behind Rippers, Abercrombie and Finch, Ralph Lauren, and the NBA--it is a worthy challenge of skill and therefore appealing to me. Maybe my finances will change later and I can work it in. |

*ROFLMAO* I don't usually use such trite acronyms as ROLFMAO, but that clearly deserved one. Hilarious! |

Oh, so you're going to play the facts card; didn't see that one coming. Here's a fact then -- a dumb basher is more fun to name than a smart ripper. And yes, your original stab at the NL was quite funny.
