These are officially unofficial because I'm getting the scoring verified by a second source to make sure that it is absolutely correct.
It was a close contest for all 13 turns and a hearty congrats goes out to the winners. This team really picked up the pace the last 3 turns and pulled off the victory. So congrats to the team of . . .
TRIPWIRE, manager of OF WOLF AND MAN
DETECTIVE KELLUMBO, manager of KELLUMBO'S KIDS
There was also a sub-contest that was going on within the actual contest. We called this the Kill Master Award. This award goes to the manager who put the most Stormcrowe warriors into the ground during the course of the contest. This does not include arena stand bys, nor does it count any Dark Arena kills. The Kill Master Award goes to . . .
JE, manager of ERRATA
Hope everyone enjoyed the fun. I'll be posting more detailed information about the Slaughterhouse on the DJI website.
Wow, what a nice come from behind win! I thought Phat Phat and Haunt would be able to hold on. Looks like the contest was really competitive!

Congratulations to the winners. Guess that challenge to the DM throne did not have any effect since it garnered 8 pts total.
Oh, just curious, there were other sub-contest involving the loss of warriors and other such. When will those be announced, along with verifying iron-manager awards?

Working on that right now. Will have it up this afternoon.

The throne didn't count for points in this contest. Just so you know

That's what I thought, but had to look it back up myself to check.
Well, our overall 5-5-1 last turn didn't cut it, that's for sure. But as Nomad said, it was close to the end and we had our shot. Hearty congrats go Trip and Kellumbo for a well-earned victory! I think the difference in the end was the success of your replacements the second half, they really did well, and a bit under the radar I think too, until it was too late!
I was surprised how many random matchups there were the final turn as well...Trip at least I got the bloodfeud win, but no kill! Ah well!
Hmm... thought it was +5 pts, but haven't looked at the scoring in a while. Still, I congratulate you on grabbing the throne last turn, and your team winning in such a decisive fashion.
BTW, how's that SEC championship game lookin'?

Alright, here are the Iron Manager awards and the Ahringhol Award.
Iron Manager went to any team that ran 60+ fights for the duration of the contest. The reward is a +1 Bonus Potion. This is the list that has been submitted to Lee. If you had a warrior graduate from 45 during the course of the contest, the +1 Potion may be used on that warrior. Any other inquiries you may have about them will have to be directed to Lee. Remember there is a time limit in which you have to use them, so be mindful of it. If you believe that I have omitted your team in error, please let me know and I will double check my spreadsheet.
Arctic Wastes - Wretch
Darque Forces - Master Darque
Errata - JE
JGW Perishable 1 - JGW
Kellumbo's Kids - Detective Kellumbo
Mutant Hammerz - Hammer
Nostalgia - Haunt
Of Wolf and Man - Tripwire
Old Man River - Stik
Pacis Ex Nex - Reaper
Phantom Regiment - Nomad
The Lion's Den - Kat
The Ahringhol Award goes to the manager who lost the most warriors during the course of the contest. These totals only include kills by contest warriors. It is a bit of a blessing and a curse type award. The winner is . . .
JGW, who lost a total of 4 warriors during the Slaughterhouse. He receives a free RU Cert.

Alrighty, there will be another Slaughterhouse in the future and it will be in DM 45. I know that I had talked about running one in Sunset, but the Slaughterhouse has always been in Stormcrowe and there is where I wish for it to stay.
However, I have not forgotten Sunset. If the Sunset natives are willing, then I will run a contest there, special only to Sunset there sometime after the completion of the Turf War.
My next big contest idea is a called a Put Up or Shut Up Tournament. I'll let you in on the concept now so you can beginning planning and prepping a team.
1. +1 Win, -1 Loss, +1 Kill
2. Contest runs 13 turns
3. Points for wins and kills only count if you call the fight (in the personal ads you will have to state, "Warrior A will defeat Warrior B"). Depending on participation, this may make for a long NL (and Ed. may seek my life).
4. To keep managers from exploiting a favorable match up, you can only score points ONCE against any single opponent (warrior, not team).
5. Tournaments are allowed and encouraged.
6. Entry requirements and prizes will be worked out as the time approaches.
3. Points for wins and kills only count if you call the fight (in the personal ads you will have to state, "Warrior A will defeat Warrior B"). Depending on participation, this may make for a long NL (and Ed. may seek my life).
Great idea, but you need to limit the # of personal ads you can write, otherwise you could just spam "warrior A will beat warrior A-Z"...

That is my intent. I have 10+ months to close all the loopholes.
I have envisioned 1 declaration per warrior per turn and random match ups do not count, only challenges. This makes challenges and avoids relevant and really makes it a contest for people who pay attention, not just drop a team off in a contest arena for kicks and giggles.
