$129/night for a King bed suite. Also, make sure you have them use the group discount under the name "FTF". I tried Duel2, Duelmasters and Reality Simulations but they couldn't find it..... after a few minutes of being on hold, they finally located the group name.
Also, I wasn't sure what this meant (maybe some of you who were in Tempe for the F2F last year can help me out with this one) but they wanted to make sure I wasn't bringing any farm animals on to the premises.... something about people from this group last year and wierd things going on at 2am.
I assured them that I would have no farm animals, but I wanted to make sure they were ok with my four foot scimitar. They happily obliged. |

Huh. We weren't even there last year. Maybe they were confusing us with another group of nerds. |

I guess this wasn't as obvious as I was hoping for, but I was joking around about this part of the conversation..... <smirk> |

Thanks for the heads-up on the group discount name. The guy taking my reservation found it right away.
The rate is the same for the 2 Double Bed suites, $129 + tax ($144.57).
I think these rates are $40-$50 cheaper than they have been in the past five years.

I forget the timing of things on the Friday of the face. I vaguely recall that first turn sheets are due by late-afternoon to early evening on the Friday during the start of the face.
Seeing as my last F2F was at the Allerton in Chicago during the last millennia, can someone who has more recent F2F experiences remind me about when is an optimum time for arrival at the hotel on that Friday? I'm about to book my flights to Phoenix for January and I want to make sure I've got the timing of everything correct.
Thanks as always. |

I am still debating attending. Considering I have been to 4 of last 5 I am likely to show; however, my lovely food poisoning at the last.
I have one other issue that I am on a medical specialty course in Washington DC the week before. So I am trying to make it fit. So, I havent booked a room yet, and I will hold off a few more weeks to figure it out.
But FGC wants a run. |

I've never been to a Face before, and although I'm inactive at the moment (I've always been more inactive than active), I was wondering if it would be cool if I just showed up, even if I didn't enter any warriors.
I live in the Valley, so it's not like a big deal for me to go, but I don't know the um, protocols of such a thing. |

Yes, you definitely could. You could stop by Thursday evening to hang out, and Friday too.
During the Winter FtF, there are a bunch of people (Khyron, Jakari, Mirage, etc.) who just show up to game together (usually Table Games) and don't run anybody. I'm sure you'd be welcome to play.... |
