Oh i completely understand. I bought a ton of stuff recently. I have teams in so many arenas now I get them confused. I am about to start prepping for the Summer Face. I think I can send btwn 75-100.
You have A - M and then you have the VC, the leader of the pack
Now maybe we can just post a good tourney to back up the boast

Saturday will be a busy day for you
100 warriors is easy The key is all the prep time before the face Just ask anyone that's been to a face and seen my box Infact onmce I got organized it was easier to track 100 warriors, than before when I was dis-organized and trying to track 50.
Polarius, give me a call (you have my #) and we'll talk about it

i am considering sending about 130-150 warriors for the summer face. i have never sent more than 34 which is how many i sent this time. maybe just maybe if i sent 75% more than i normally do i will have at least a 25% bigger chance of getting my first tc......

I've sent 40+ warriors to every FTF I've attended since 1990 (probably over 1/2 the FTF's). I pulled my 1st TC ever at the face I let an alliance mate proxy for me, and I only sent 22 warriors. Now I will admit thanks to cellphones, and RSI posting the turns so fast it was almost like I was there. Plus I had the best tournie as far as my overall #'s go ever
I have only 1 goal this year for DM, and that's to be in the top 10 on Dwaynes list of TV's when he recap's the year. I'm guessing I need 20 for the year??? But with all these youngsters out there gunning for the oldtimers I may need more???

i have to admit that the one thing that i am really bad at is timing my warriors for a tourney. i know how to do it but i'll get caught up in how i do in an arena and forget that i want to run some guys in the tourney. i am not sending about 10 of my warriors because i screwed up on their FE......youngblood

It takes something "special" to be able to run that many warriors successfully at a f2f. You have to be able to stay at your table all day (something I freely admit I can not and won't do). Some of those guys and gals never seem to be away from their tables. Another thing about running that many warriors is unless you can afford to drop a grand for the tournament, you'll be so far in debt with RSI that by the time you get caught up and able to play again, the next tiournament is upon you and you, the addicts we are, do the same thing again. It's a vicious cycle. And another thing to consider is that quantity does not guarantee a TC. If your luck is as bad has mine you'll end up against one of the top 3 players in the game (every time I get in a TC fight it seems like Doc Steele is my opponent...). I was excited in Philly when I had 1 of the final APP and Doc wasn't one of them, but then I was eliminated by Rillion, who I constantly badger in 103... I'm sure there is as lesson in humility in there somewhere, but... The point of this diatribe is "don't send more than you can handle or you'll almost certainly blunder somewhere along the way possibly killing your TC shot."

Steve,
I will do that. We need to get together again. This time I will make SURE more of the guys can be there. Have any idea when you are coming back to Bham?

I strongly suggest that instead of sending 130, you cut that in half, and use that extra money on *prep*. If your roster is that big, and you don't spend the $$$ on prep, you are only setting yourself up for major dissappointment come Sunday. It takes anywhere from 6 months to a year to put together a good roster of 50 or so tournament quality warriors, to just send 100 or so now...or if you do send 100, just be aware that it will be mostly fodder....

Okay, just to give an idea of what Dwayne's saying spend money on Prep means to me.. this is the way I've been able to build decent pipelines on a reasonable (ish) budget.
Twice a year I buy 20-30 RUs. Once at the January face and once usually around September.
Of 20-30 RU's I'll find maybe 10-15 guys that I want to run. I run most of them rookies, a few will get timed for apprentices straight off. Some of these will be scum and aimers which I know won't fight past Rookies. Maybe 5-7 of these warriors will ever fight beyond their first tourney. About half of those won't make it past Inits. If I'm lucky, I'll have 3 warriors from a stack of 25 RUs that I run all the way to adepts. If they make it to adepts, they will run in Champions, by then I know its a warrior worth my time.
ADM is reserved for warriors that I think can go deep in an immortal class.. and all of my effort is making sure that warrior is perfect for the class i had marked for them. This could be Freshman, ADM or Primus.. it doesn't matter.
I _could_ manage to run 100 timed tourney warriors at any one time, but about 50 of those would be guys that i had cut previously and I don't think it would do anything other than hurt my numbers.
Just my take.

I've never run more than 30 warriors in any tourney. I tend to choose quality over quantity. Usually, I send fewer warriors to tourneys in a year than some managers do to a single tourney.
Case in point: I'll be making my first FtF this summer since 2001 and I have a working roster of 35 right now. I just don't want to get caught up in trying to manage more warriors than that. It takes away from my ability to track and manage them and makes the whole experience stressful.

Granted I only skimmed this topic, it seems to me that noone answered the question, or there were very few actual answers.
Not that I'm all that plugged in, or even pay that much attention to tell you the truth, here's my opinion. In no particular order:
IT Alliance (I may be somewhat biased, but we did have two runner-ups at the face.)
LBA (Any alliance involving TUM has to be considered.)
DOA
Legion X (I can never keep track of who's who, it's like a soap opera.)
The Frothingslosh Syndicate (Or whatever they're called, mostly old-timers. )
Any alliance with Steve McDonald in it.
FONZ? Are those the guys that always compete with DOA? If not then the alliance the competes with them at the FtFs.
Well, that's all my alcohol-soaked mind can come up with at the moment, though I know I left quite a few out...

Yeah, FONZ, iirc, is the one with Soultaker and Sentinel, although they always claim they're not an alliance.
