This is just a pre-announcement--but this is just to answer the question I know you've all been wondering--yes there will be an ADM Regional Tourney this summer!
For those of you who aren't aware, the ADM Regional Tourney (recently brought back in a new format) is the most fun ultimate battle of regional supremecy! In the last contest, Vision (Detective Kellumbo) beat Harv (TUM) to win the title for Andorak! This time I expect much more heated competition as people know what to expect and will strategize accordingly
I don't have official rules yet, but it will be similar to the last one--and you can look over the rules here:
http://www.reality.com/duel2/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=4211&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0&sid=d89a96416b7b4ec16b2cbef997308760
(There will likely be some rules tweaks as we learned stuff from the last contest)
For those of you who have just returned to the game in the last couple of years--you can look over the results here:
http://www.reality.com/reg09.htm
(The arena qualifying portion takes place in the newsletter, the actual tourney is then run and posted online like above)
This is just an announcement so you can all PLAN ACCORDINGLY AND MOVE YOUR WARRIORS INTO THE APPRORPRIATE regional you are planning to compete in this summer.
(Who knew split info would get out so early?)
Any questions, post them here. I will be in contact with all of the team captains from two years ago to see if they are interested in re-coordinating.

A few questions...
Does the tourney happen before or after the summer FTF?
Do warriors have to run in their home arena affiliated ADM arena? Like, a grad from DM 46 has to run in 100,101 or 105...
My warriors are all over but I'm Andorian at heart |

It will start before and run throughout the summer.

During the duration of the contest--Yes! That's why you need to get them into 105--request an immigration form for Customer Service if you have any warriors qualified for other regionals but want to fight them in 105. |

Now I was going to move lots of my warriors to 106 this go round, but now I'm torn. I had fun with the Home Guard crew last time though. |

And I had temporarily moved some of my guys out of 106 - perhaps I need to move them back in? Not that my lunger and aimed blow have much chance against the competition for those styles. |

How much time do we have before this starts? One or two turns? |

I may be open to being recruited, if I can only find a taker |

I am looking for a team captain for Darkholm. TUM? Buri? |

I'd be willing, but I'm probably not the best person for it... I've never done one of these before and I'm not entirely clear on what needs to be done. I was hoping someone with more experience in these things would spearhead it so I could just be told what to do I am moving 1/2 my ADM guys to 100 at the split, but will still have 4 or 5 in Darkholm. |

As an aside, I really think that requiring 12 warriors per team is a bit high.
Next turn we'll see what the health of Home Guard is after the split, but I wouldn't be surprised if its just me and Jorja who are representing that particular arena, as I haven't heard a peep from anyone else.
Perhaps Home Guard is the only team facing this problem? I can see the potential for managers having to run 4 or even 6 warriors each to fill out their teams. I'm perfectly prepared to do so in Home Guard, but it seems less than ideal if a number like 10 warriors per arena is more realistic. Or even combining two of the arenas might be a possibility.
Just some thoughts. We'll know better what the interest is for the various teams as it gets closer to the actual event. |

Smaller teams and/or allowing more than 2 per manager is definitely possibility...

I am planning on fight a few in HG after the split, so I should have some eligible for Team Home Guard. |
