I'll be posting it in the DM Column, but for the curious (or just Saturday night lonely), here is Marco Polo:
10-11-8-14-16-9-16 bumped to 11-11-8-15-17-9-17. Learned well at 2.14 a fight and was +7 overall (+3 Rip and +4 Att). I thought Att was the favorite learn, but it turned out to be Dec. Faves were MO/VL and SH. I'm sure he'll eventually be active in 107.
Congrats on the Piker. Ziggy should be able to compete with those base numbers, but lacks the learn rate and bonuses. And apparently knack. The five fight winning streak helped, but now he has two more straight losses. Second piker out (assuming he lives and no one else beats him) doesn't sound anywhere near as nice as #1. Well done.

I like Pikers and I think the most important lesson that I have learned about them over the years is that you can't discount the knack. I've had uber-bonued and mode Pikers and have come to the conclusion that with the right amount of knack, all that other stuff becomes trivial in Basic. I would love to have those super stats and super bonuses with a knacky warrior, but if I have to choose only one; I'll take the knack!
Of course for me here lately in 81, merely living to see graduation has been a sign of knack for my warriors.

I like pikers as well and agree with everything you said. Sadly, knack and Ziggy seem not to have met. Survival, so far, he has managed.

It appears y'all got my trains this turn...on top of my 1-4, we learned a total of 4 skills. Is there never an end to the madness?

3-2 for me, which is not too bad with the DA. The new guy is likely to be pretty good.
I trying to bring this junk pile back up to the .500 mark. I do not think I will stoop to a team of scum, but who knows, hehehe. It just feels so dirty.
Porcupain got his invite on a loss to Cicero, who I should beat. Porcupain is an attack learning striker. Nothing special numbers wise, and mod everywhere. Seemed to love the LO, so I will be interested to see if I guessed right. I tried to QS it up a few times, just for flavor.
Squashapillar, maybe the best of the group, and has finally made his way through. Issue with him is I am afraid to know his fav's. He is one of my more fun guys to read from 81.
Angeroo, avenged my death. The cute little Aimer Old Moe who had a lot of potential, but you know Shadowspire, death, death, and more death. Angeroo, has turned his fighting style. He has a low wit, but learns unbelievably well. Love those guys. In 81, much like D Noble, I tend to have 17 wit guys who average 1 or less skills per turn. This is truly my worst learning rate arena.
With the new DA replacement I am hoping for the numbers to make a PL, PR, or PS. My uber PS has taken the throne in 84, and he is one of my more fun projects, but he will sit and sandbag challengers for a few years. He is moderate in the numbers, but has huge bonuses. I am hoping he starts to become a factor by the spring.
Darque, what is left in your round robin? I will likely get my BA out in a few turns, that will get me to LU(2) SL ST TP plus the BA. Such a long way to go now that Meerkat has been killed. As for the remaining styles, WS is one of my better styles, so that should be reasonable. PR is one of my worst, so that will be problematic. Aimers, I have had a few decent ones here; however you guys keep killing them off. Anyway, until next turn.

It appears that Food has been transferred to DM-84. Problem solved.

So my team is able to beat one guy last turn, and their punishment is the offending warrior's whole team has to be transferred to another arena?? Talk about adding insult to injury...

One can only imagine the additional disfunction involved if I kill one of my opponent's warriors. Self-imposed banishment, ritual mutilation, hari kari, death by nuk nuk...?

I'm still missing 3 (AB, PR, and BA). I have the BA in Champs but he loses so much that its going to be a crap shot as to his graduating. I know there are a few other within that range too (Le Pentarque, Visionist, Vanek, and Nomad). There is also a group that can be in that range in the next few months (you and Trip come to mind, probably Sherman as well). Then there is that third group of consistent managers in 81 that will be there before long (Jugger, Bartender, and Deep Thought). And the fourth who will eventually get there, are good managers, but too new to 81 to be a threat at this point (D. Noble and Floyd). Of course, according to some discussions, losing to D. Noble can cause a complete team reset and you have to start from scratch.
Alright, this is a lot of information, enough for a SYP report. The wife has 3 concerts this week, so I'll be home more and should have the time.
