Congrats to the new DM.......AND the new graduate! Do you know how hard it is to fit those robes and that cap over plate and a full helm?? Very Happy

Nice job Marms on the 3-turn record, Buri's boys not far behind...

OAB nice column from our blink-and-you-missed-him-on-the-way-to-the-Isle DM! Great to see you fighting the rest of the squad as well! Hunker down and stay a while!

Nomad condolences on the loss of Kadoka, keeping a PR alive to graduation around here is a challenge all its own...

A record low amount of chatter in the PAs, looks like everyone was busy with RL holiday activities.

Who's gonna make an appearance for Sunset at the Face? I will likely be sending a couple of my guys in to skill-farm and hopefully survive...

Congrats to Blakskul, I hope you get a good replacement.

Congrats to the new DM, it sucks not to have a warrior in the mix up there.

Yea, been kind of slackin on the ol PA front, I guess I am not alone Rolling Eyes

We should hopefully have a newly transfered team from 13 from back in the early 90s. My brother will be joining us. He has not played in about 20 years so be gentle Twisted Evil

Nomad, I am sorry I did not get another chance to beat him, hope your replacement runnable. Nice Kano smack down too Wink

Not sure how long I am going to keep one or two of my boys, we shall have to wait and see.

Kadoka
11-17-10-17-9-3-17
25 skills learned in 13 FE, although 11 of them were riposte, which is not the best learn for a ripper. Only one attack skill. He is bonused in riposte, although I couldn't tell how much because every time he hit a new rating he blew by it with 3-4 rip skills in the fight.
I like this as a fairly classic ripper. Of course a 21 wit would be better, but this is a pretty nice 17 witter. I may give him a shot in a dead tourney, but that favorite learn probably makes it a waste of time.

Bummer, I like rippers. I knew he was ranked too highly for his skills.

I did manage a nice little challenge on Kano when he tried to run his champs scum again. Very Happy

And a victory over Blakskul which was not expected.

2-3, not so great.

Yeah, no ads. Sorry. I do try. But RL sometimes makes that difficult. I did at least post here 3 days after the turn.

0-3 for the Dark Overlords, so not great. Hoping to get my turn today and maybe some good skill learns, so maybe the turn is not a complete wash.

Congrats to Blakskul for finally getting the invite.

BTW, what are these one and done DM's I see pop up in the arenas I am in? I don't remember that from when I played before. Are they guys back from the dead? Long inactive teams?

No ads for me also. RL with the holidays, lucky I got turns in at all. Anyone heard if the ads link is going to ever come back. The couple times I have posted ads to the email that was posted on here, HAL seems to eat a lot of what I send. Do I need to go back to the good ol' hand written ads?

ads@reality.com

Email your ads to the address above. Someone gave it to me after the ads link disappeared and it has worked perfectly every time. I can't remember who gave it to me, but thanks. It works.

As for one and done DMs, that is a direct result of the growth of the tournament game. They are tourney warriors (Most living, some back from the dead) who are popping in to time for tournies, to graduate, or get that one last fight after having been sucked off. In general you want to avoid them because they probably have a ton of hidden tourney FE and will kick your arena warriors butt. They didn't happen in the old days because there weren't "tourney warriors."

Avoiding scenarios like this is actually one of the reasons for the development of the no-tourney arenas. But they usually aren't that big of a deal. And it is nice to have OAB drop in now and then.

Deviation had a 3-2-1-0 (blastoff!) turn in Sunset.

Nomad, apologies on that Kadoka kill... it was a random matchup and Level of Malevolence isn't normally bloodthirsty like that. What makes the kill even more unusual was that it was a ST killing a PR... I'd assume that matchup would have been more in your favor if I was a betting person.

In any event... all hail the new DM of 21!!!! Assuming all goes well, Level of Malevolence will be defending the throne while fighting in the Champions tourney at the upcoming FTF.

Apologies on the P-ads.... RL got the better of me during the holiday season!!

No worries. It happens. I did notice that it was a striker killing a ripper. In fact, of my 4 champs I would have thought Kadoka would have the best shot at a BF. I guess that shows what I know. Congrats on the win and the throne. I wish I could BF the King.

Grats to the new DM. Also grats to Blakskul too and someone actually taunt him the skill he needed im guessing.

Sad to see Stik, Nomad and Ben's PRs die off. Wheres the love or better to say thats life in Sunset.

I got personals in late so they showed up this turn and was like the only ones just about damn.

3-0 turn ill take it and next turn im guessing 0-3 as things go haha.

4-1 for the Bowls, best turn for me so far. 1 fight against a stand-in, but I'll take it!

Ben, just expect Smurf Lightning to get challenged each time he gets above Fish. If you're gonna teach me 5 skills I won't be able to stay away from you.

well I hope that Fish taught as well as Smurf boy did. I have not seen the fight yet. You might want to put me on avoid if you do not want a return challenge. Unless you like lossing, in which case don't avoid Twisted Evil

I will try to get PAs in this time, I have been really bad about them in all arenas Embarassed

Got the envelope Tuesday post-holiday. Learns were non-existant to terrible. Blakky's faves were....let's just say I didn't have them pegged, but I had used them a time or two! I will post them in the newsletter next turn.
