Damn, that is sneaky. Wish I had the extra cash to join the fun, but alas...
Hawk, a demo tourney is basically a temporary tourney that RSI puts on when they go to a convention. They get potential new players to set up a team or teams and run them in the tourney, and I believe they create a normally temporary arena to put them in for it.

Allow us to ammend our agreement somewhat ....
We will be glad to join another new arena opening, as long as it is a true opening and all teams/warriors start with 0FE.
If it is to just be another arena, where anyone can transfer a "veteran" team of choice, we are not interested. There are plenty of arenas where vet teams can be transferred. (And we have plenty of teams we could transfer.)

Yes, the original idea was all new teams with 0 FE. No transfers.

I'm with the Consortium and The Dark One. Everyone should start as a noob team. No BS hidden FE, to team transfers (go someplace else) just the game as it was meant to be played. Raw with brand new teams from the start.
I'm interested. Can't commit 100% at this time but definitely interested.

I am so in, if the teams start with 0FE. I always wanted to start in a real basic area from scratch. And that is a regular arena right? No special weirdness? And no transfers correct?

Regular arena, everyone starts with 0 FE, no transfers in at least for, say, the first year.

I just talked with my 2 friends from high school , that got me started playing back in 1985 ... One of the two would be in for a new start up arena if we all started 0 FE .. I have been trying to get him to run for months now and this was the first idea that caught his fancy.

Getting a manager back into the game? That alone seems like a reason to do it! (By the way, this comment is actually serious. If it gets new managers into the game (or back into) it is a good thing.)
Personally it sounds like fun, but finances will keep me out unless somebody wants to sponsor a team. I'd even be open to advertising. All the sponsor has to do is pay the fees and we'll put "this fight brought to you by . . . " on our shields. Gladiators will be made available for commercials. We'll even write ads in which we subtly interject your name in a very positive way. Perhaps we could request those forms where you can put in special comments for your gladiators. It is an easy way to up your brand recognition.

I could probably be talked into this. Might be the push I need to start up a new team like I have been thinking about.
Any ideas on timeframe, with enough interest we talking weeks, months, years?
