I appreciate those who offered suggestions on my roll-ups and especially
Marmaduke for his welcome back.

I prefer to welcome managers back on the sands, preferably by giving their warriors a taste of sand!

Did I offend you by thanking Marmaduke for the welcome back and not you? I am still learning the courtesy of how to deal with each manager, but if the sands is really your choice, I run in several arenas you are in. We will have plenty of opportunity to meet over steel.

Absolutely no offense was given. I was just being a little funny and 'welcoming you back'. We are glad to see you back and I do look forward to crossing blades with you again!
As far as courtesy, we all talk a lot of smack, but there is much respect for each other and for the most part, new (and to a lesser degree returning) players are given a fair bit of leeway as far as coming up to speed (i.e. horrible mismatch challenges won't be made as often). In some arenas, new players often don't get challenged at all until well past becoming chartered.
I believe most players realize that without some degree of new players coming in and succeeding / staying in the game, the game will not continue to last for the next 25 years.

Yeah, you might see a rivalry or two here and there, but we're all friends here, and for the reasons Assur stated, most of us are very helpful. When it comes to the Arena, however, all bets are off. If I didn't challenge people I like, it would severly limit the amount of challenges available to me. So, welcoming you back with a Scimitar to the forehead is perfectly normal for this crowd!
