I have one that perfectly matches what you're looking for and a couple of others that are very close fits. Let me know if you're interested in a trade.

I am thinking that if my goal is an maximum damage warrior:
Is there a damage level above Unearthly?
What is the minimum size required to ensure maximum damage level once you train STR to 24/25?
Given the assumption that I will eventually be able to train STR to 25, is there a benefit for a size 21 warrior over a size 18 warrior?
If Land Shark at 25 STR and 21 Size = Unearthly damage
and
Shewish Giant at XX STR and 25 Size = Unearthly damage
Is there any benefit over size greater than 21? greater than 18?
And my memory is fuzzy, but I recall that the maximum damage with less than 22 Strength was Awesome damage. Does anyone have a list of damage ratings above awesome, and has anyone indexed this rating against STR/SIZE?

IIRC there was a warrior running around in ADM/Primus - name something like Phelmtoge where the manager used a potion to grow him to size 24. Not sure who the manager is. wondering if that warrior ever maxed its strength..
believe Guardian used to hypothosize about 'Godlike' damage above unearthly.
I have seen devastating damage in basic - i have a dead slasher who is 21 str / 20 sz

I have a warrior, Forever Man, that I grew to size 24. He topped out at Unearthly, damage class 9. There is no damage class 10 in the game. I'm pretty sure FM would've gotten it, and if he had, I wanted to name it Ludicrous Damage.

See, I forgot there was a damage class between Awesome and Unearthly.
Maybe size 18 is big enough.

You roll the damage and then modify by damage. This is why little damage is so bad, as you can roll a 1 on some dice and end up doing no damage.
If you ever played RuneQuest, there was a % chance to hit (let's say 60%) and if you rolled inside the first 5% of that chance it was a critical effect and if you rolled inside the next 5% it was a max damage effect
60% chance to hit
01-03 is a critical
04-06 is max damage
07-60 is a hit
61+ is a miss
There were cases at the bottom end of Runequest were it was better to be in the second bracket (max damage) than it was to be in the first bracket (critical effect.)
Little -d4 damage
Normal
Good +d4 damage
Great +d6 damage
Tremendous +d8 damage
Awesome +d10 damage
Devastating +d12 damage
Ed ran all his fights by hand with dice, so I am not sure what he would have done for Superhuman (maybe 2d8) or Unearthly d20.
So the effect of Land Shark hitting you with a hatchet is
d4 (weapon) + d20 (unearthly), which explains the great variance in effect on Land Shark hits.
The effect of a rank 1 critical is more important for low damage weapons than the for high damage weapons.
Ed always said that the Battle Axe had the bigest damage potential of the 1 handed weapons, but then again Ed would often talk about his original design, not what Gloria put into the code.

More theorycraft:
L = does LITTLE DAMAGE
N = (NORMAL DAMAGE)
G = can do GOOD DAMAGE with a blow
R = does GREAT DAMAGE with every blow
T = can do TREMENDOUS DAMAGE with a blow
A = does AWESOME DAMAGE with every blow
D = does DEVASTATING DAMAGE with every blow
S = does SUPERHUMAN DAMAGE with every blow
U = does UNEARTHLY DAMAGE with every blow
When evaluating the "does" vs. "can do" some people though this was Ed's used of a 1dx vs. a 2dx roll. I myself did not subscribe to this pattern, but I thought I would mention it.

Deke,
We had a pretty interesting conversation about damage about 18 months ago.... click the link, I think you'll find the information right up your alley.
