Don't mean to monopolize this but I keep finding fun stuff!

Mr. Big- Smoke On the Water (instrument switch - the guitarist on drums; the drummer on Bass; Singer on Guitar; Bass player on Vocals ... yep Billy Sheehan)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48jiNmRZZ48

then during the interlude, while still kinda playing they switch guitar to bass and Sheehan on lead guitar- for the solo! Then the drummer who came off Bass gets on vocals!

Bonus Mr. Big - Just Take My Heart

Got a VERY interesting artist! A classical/dance/electronic Violinist. Yep hard to classify this one! Both are live performances so you can get a better idea of her talents! They are both just over 3 minutes so not that long either.

A new band that just made it's way around the USA in June and July. They're from Sweden and have 3 singers (Female, Male clean, Male harsh) which is kind of unusual. They're not overly heavy but rather quite melodic, and the female singer is pretty attractive (she has Ice Blue eyes). First song has no harsh vocals, second has just a few lines, most of their vocals are clean.

Amaranthe- Burn With Me

Bonus:

Amaranthe- Amaranthine

Worth a listen and definitely not as "out there" as it may sound and they are doing quite well; getting a lot of notice!

Not sure what to make of this video! Laughing Laughing

Zakk Wylde is one strange dude! But he's such a beast who would tell him. I remember when he started out with Ozzy at 18 he was a stick figure!

A bit off the beaten path, for me, but I think quite a few might like it if they check it out. This band is kind of part Country, part Blues, part late-80s early 90s Alternative (not quite grunge though),and part 70s rock (Allman Brothers a bit maybe).

If you watch all those Aaron Okeefe student videos they are amazing.

Tool, Iron Maiden, Pantera, Guns and Roses, Aretha Franklin, Zepplin, and tons of others. They are extremely talented. It seems every video has different students playing also. Great stuff.

Hope they don't let me down but Within Temptation just released the first single off their new album, out in January 2014. On top of that it's a duet with another I've had on this thread, Tarja Turunen. I haven't listened to it yet so I'm blindly putting faith in them to deliver! They have supposedly been working on this album for a few months, already, to try and deliver their, "most grand work to date."

As soon as I post this I'm off to give it a listen. It already has 143,002 views as it sits paused waiting for this post. So anyways off to check it out .... hope you will too, feel free to comment!

Within Temptation (feat. Tarja) - Paradise (What about Us?)

And awayayay we go ....

Edit Bonus-

I guess this song and a few other demos come with the single at ITunes.

Within Temptation - Let Us Burn (Full Demo Version)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbYyewNk1yI

"Soaring Vocals" on this song. I could see this having been the first single as well. Now I cannot wait until January to get my hands on the new album, probably delayed for US/North American release. Confused

Pretty sweet video and I much enjoyed the song. When I expected the guitar solo Tarja had a "Vocal solo" and then I figured no guitar solo but there was one to come shortly after.

All in all a fairly "Epic-type" of song but I'll have to give it a week and a dozen listens before I would qualify it as Epic. So on first listen I'll give it a 7 to 7.5 out of 10, with room to be adjusted up or down.

Wanted to keep this thread alive with a blast from the past come back with a new album! All original members are back in the band.

Stryper- No More Hell to Pay

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7ecl6Hm0Mk

Their signature song live 2012

Stryper- To Hell with the Devil

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xxhn5SkfVRY

I guess the singer was recently singing and playing guitar with Boston also (2007-2011).

As an aside that new Within Temptation video got 1.6 million views in it's first month. The 2 singers are 2 of the top 5 female singers in the Symphonic Metal genre. American Radio was ready for the style years ago, as evidenced by Evanescence's first album success (and subsequent failure's since changing it's style, and musicians save Amy Lee), unfortunately the record companies didn't pay attention. Considering the style has been a huge success in Europe and Japan for about 15 years perhaps we can start to hear more bands of the style here in America (they sell fairly well here) .... so I don't have to go to YouTube to hear it!

Here's pretty good proof how a singer can be the band. Old school band - new release. Only the lead singer, Lenny Wolf, remains but it's still Kingdom Come!
