I'm a little ticked off at Hilton right now... I've accumulated 42K Hilton Honors points over the years. A couple of years ago, it was 7500 points for one night.... now it's 30,000 points for one night. So I called in, said I wanted to use points to pay for one of my nights in Tempe. I was told that HH points cannot be used to pay for any rooms that are part of a convention or meeting. IOW I can't use my points for the one vacation per year that I take, so they're pretty useless to me.

Can you book a room and not be a part of the Fae to Face?

Buri, it has always been that way. As Longshot says, book the room as a normal overnight. If you need more nights, then get an RSI room.

They wouldn't let me change it. I know RSI keeps calling this their "favorite" hotel, but I'm very much not a Hilton/Embassy fan... they pissed me off last year, they pissed me off this year, before I even got there. Greedy bastards.
