I just had an "early invite", for a nice AB. He is:
9-13-4-21-7-9-21 with little damage and very little endurance.
Started with Expert Attack and Expert Defense.
Arena record: 13-3-0.
Tourneys: haven't added em all up, but no TVs and he went 7-3-0 three times, including the one 2 weeks ago (Champion).
19 Political Points.
12 ratings prior to the tourney, 14 after.
144 skills going into the tourney, 156 after.
No invite prior to the tourney, and no arena since.
Favorites: Epee, Mod/Mod.

I had hoped to sandbag this guy, but he never even got to a Challengers Tourney!

Question for those in the know: should I continue to run this guy? That 7 WL scares me, I'll be dead before I get it to 21! Also, I try to limit my ADM/Primus to the bare minimum.

Looks like a regular early graduation and not a manual pull. Assur's graduation charts even mention an early graduation at 10 wins, 17 PPs and 125 total skills.

Yeah, I looked at that, but he had all those criteria in place before the tourney, and no invite. The only thing that changed was 2 ratings and 12 skills.

Skills and FE are both triggers for automatic graduation.

I've had a number of warriors get invited right after their Champs tourney, including one from this tourney (Chili Con Carnage in DM-24). He went 6-3 in the tourney and learned some skills, so it was either the skills or FE that pushed him over the edge.

Not only does the early grad criteria remain enigmatic, but I think its been lowered in recent years to try and make sandbagging more difficult.

I had the same thing immediately after the tourney. 10 arena wins plus 145+ skills was the reason you got the call.

Funny you should mention it, Krako (the AB of topic) is the one who eliminated Chili Razz

I'll make it easy for you, Buri. Just transfer him over to me. I will give him a good home in the Chosen's ranks. Wink

Actually, the other thing you missed is the additional 5 FE from going 7-3 in the tournament. A lot of those early graduations don't happen until about 34 FE total.

I've been nabbed by those early graduations after tourneys too. The manual pulls are only done before a tourney, right around the freeze time, so this was an automatic graduation by meeting some criteria.

Could be that his lease was up so they moved him to the Isle.

I'd have to agree, it makes me wonder how anyone with a high skill level ever gets to a Challenger tourney, let alone 2 or 3. The guys winning it, are they more physical types these days?
