We were just discussing in chat how cool it would be to have a live video feed from the FTF for those who are not there to check in during the weekend. Unfortunately I don't have the technical proficiency to do this. Is there anyone out there with the hardware and knowledge to make this happen?

It would be pretty straight forward TDO. The limiting factor will be the upstream bandwidth available through the wireless at the hotel.

If this is to become a spectator sport, can we sell tickets?

Really, I could see broadcasting the finals, that would certainly be entertaining to anyone not there... but as you all know most of the weekend is just guys going to the front to get turns, and then burying their faces in paper.

As I believe somebody's young nephew or niece said of the face one time, "it's just a bunch of old nerds shuffling papers!" Laughing

Maybe we could get a slot as lead-in or right after the first round of the NFL draft!

Sample Saturday:

Announcer: Sandy has just called Wayne Smith to the table for an input error. This makes the 2nd infraction for the Consortium today, will it affect his ability to get Rookies in on time? Oh and it looks like Mannequin is at the BOB table asking TDO for a style. Could they be colluding?

Color Guy: I don't know, Mannequin and the BOB have a long history of working against each other, all the way from FTF XIX. I'm more interested about OAB sharpening his pencil, again!

Announcer: That is the 3rd pencil that OAB has gone through today! We know he doesn't make a lot of frequent strategy changes, I wonder what is going on with his squad?

(Graphic displaying OAB's current record goes up)

Announcer: It look as if his current Freshmen guy is still undefeated, so maybe his pencil was just dull.

Color Guy: Maybe.

(Camera suddenly pans to TMM at the RSI table)

Announcer: *gasps* And it looks like TMM is submitting a strategy change in Primus!

Color Analyst: He has 9 of the top 10 warriors right now in the class, but maybe he really is worried about Webbed Toes!

Announcer: You can never take Webbed Toes too lightly!
