We just wanted to report an interesting phenomenon - team damage bonus on rollup.
Could it be?
9-5-9-17-17-16-11 SL good damage
7-11-17-17-7-14-11 ST great damage
10-10-16-17-10-10-11 ST great damage
10-6-9-11-15-12-21 AB great damage
12-5-12-21-9-14-11 ST good damage
(the last one almost felt hosed!)

Nice. The two I really like are the 10-6-9-11-15-12-21 aimed blow and the 9-5-9-17-17-16-11 slasher.

Wayne,
Carapace had a theory that damage bonuses have a tendency to be based on a roll made by the team as a whole. He had a number of instances of teams being bonused across the board. And he had like no instances of heavily bonused (damage) guys and heavily hosed guys on the same sheet.
Dunno if it's true or not, but I discussed it with him several times back in the day...

This is something Boss Rat (Dave) and I used (back in the day) to discuss also. This is one of the better examples supporting the idea.

I have a similar example, I sent in 2 of the exact same sheet at the same time a while back, and one of them came back with every damage rating placed one higher rank than the other sheet.

The way to really check this out is bloodgames.

The problem with testing it via bloodgames is that every warrior is essentially a DYO, so there may not be a 'Team' variable.

Interestingly, we always roll our BG teams twice, just to assist in looking for this phenomena. Out of appx 15-20 sets rolled, we have not found this condition. Always more ups AND downs. (or nothing)

I was going through my mini's and came across these teams again. I was meaning to post them up here for pondering a while back, but just now got around to it:
I used the exact same numbers and styles on both teams.
1) ST 9-11-17-17-9-10-11
2) ST 17-8-7-17-9-13-13
3) WS 17-5-17-13-17-3-12
4) ST 9-5-15-17-15-12-11
5) AB 11-11-16-15-5-5-21
Blue Squadron: ...................... Red Squadron:
1) poor end, great damage ...... 1) poor end, tremendous damage
2) poor end, good damage ...... 2) normal end, good damage
3) normal end, great damage ... 3) good end, tremendous damage
4) poor end, good damage ...... 4) poor end, great damage
5) little end, good damage ....... 5) poor end, tremendous damage
