Anyone looking for a new arena to put a team in to actually run - check out the turnletter that was just posted. I think this Summer has the potential to get hot in Arvat. Soultaker, even you are welcome to come back in and duel with the likes of The Dark One, Mad Max, and The Trainer, and watch a fun light-hearted contest between Icelord and myself. We just completed turn 500, so come on in the water's warm. Garfield, Mannequin, all you other free blade managers and the rest of the managers who are considering leaving their Darkholm or Andorian ways and coming over to the "good side of the force", there's room for all!

Very nicely done you guys. It's nice to see the rivalry and the old time managers writing personals and spotlights. Good luck with thr revival.

I have a little financial situation going on at the moment Marty so I can't branch out to another arena. This will also prevent me from attending the FtF this summer. I hope it will be cleared up soon, I will know more at the end of this month.

Little financial situations are seldom that...hope you do get it cleared up in the near future!! You'll be in Arvat and St. Louis in spirit - this will be the first FTF in a while you have not attended - true?

Well, I haven't been to a summer FtF since Philly. I have been to all of the AZ ones since returning to play though.

Whoa, hold on there! Did you just call me a Free Blader Question I've always considered myself a Delarquan, though I know my participation in Free Blade arenas and history as an independent manager might cause some to think otherwise. I don't have a team at this time worthy enough to compete with such an accomplished group of managers. Give me a little time and consider your invitation RSVP'd.

What? Neither Free Blader nor Liberal?
You say Delarquan and Moderate?
We say you should be on the Comedy Channel! Wink

I'm a moderate Delarquan. Though I rarely stoop to the blatant downchallenges, hit-and-run tactics, bullying and other dubious strategies employed by the majority of my Delarquan brethren I DO enjoy putting my opponents six feet under. I tend to play hard and seek out tougher competition. As far as the comedy routine goes, you should know by my response to your "media outlet photo" that my humor is without doubt Delarquan in nature! Twisted Evil

Hah, we see you as far nicer, much funnier, and way more liberal than a moderate Delarquan. And besides, you beat up on our guys way too much!

Yeah, Arvat is really started hopping a little bit as of late. It's great that you've become more vocal. I guess we gotta thank the Icelord for that though. Wink

I enjoyed your spotlight as well as the Icelord's. It's almost as if you coordinated it. I'm happy to see that all of my badgering finally got the Dark One to start writing again. As an added bonus I'll be writing another Team Spotlight as well as a Duelmasters Column and P-Ads for this upcoming turn. I only wish I hadn't tossed out all of my old Arvat Newsletters.

If I can only get Caeser to start back up again.... (shudder) ....well, maybe not him.

I'd love it if the Consortium and Mannequin started up there. Cool We all know there's no way that Soultaker will be joining us though. He's never been one for some REAL competition.

Wow - the name Caesar really got the ole juices flowing. There was nothing better than beating the snot outta him, and very little that was more painful than suffering a loss to him. To this day, with the exception of one manager back in Seam who I can't even remember his manager name, Caesar is the one guy who I would truly say would've been my nemesis.

I doubt Icelord and his group will get to that level though - I do have respect for them and like I said in the spot, have always considered them more friend than enemy. I'll mention in the next newsletter that after reading his spot - I can understand why they took the challenge and then the spotlight so hard. Nonetheless, I'm one win in the hole to him now and am looking to get back on top.

Am I to take it then that you run Saratoga Glory?? I did not realize that. Do you not also run For The Shire...?

Funny personal ad this turn Joe - you can keep your cookie. Amazing that I never made the connection that "The Trainer" was actually "Mad Max"...I should've immediately recognized that.

Any insight on why I can't get a challenge through against my foe? Freki seemed to have no problem getting through Sinner's double avoid this turn. It almost seems like the fates are against me right now...

BTW - is te new team "Angels of Pain" someone you know? That was Vengeance's team name - right??

Love to see all of those personals. I remember those days in Arvat years and years ago. Fun stuff. Only wish Murska would return to that as it was in those days also. Yes, Murska has been dead longer than Arvat but it's encouraging to see it can be done.
