Perhaps sometimes you can be too defensive and introspective? If we say DOOMies, it is affectionately or nicknamedly-friendly. In no way is it meant to be non-respectful - any more than calling Ultraist "the U Man" or Soultaker "Soulie" or Crip "The Cripster" or FONZ "FONZies" .....
But we do apologize if we came across as disrespectful.

Eh, some people don't appreciate the nicknames others give them. We would never refer to you as "The Sorties". Mainly because it sounds dumb, in my opinion at least, and it's not the proper way to address you all.
However, your true intentions are noted as are the intentions of others who mis-address us.
One of the reasons that everyone calls you DOOMies (other than affection or to irritate) you is that your alliance is one of the few groups that don't have a shorter name or abbreviation. No one uses DC because it's still associated with the Dark Circle. And DOOMies just rolls off the tongue too. How about DCo? DCorps? The 'Corps? (Might be confused with Papa Bear's teams)

The DOOMies = 11
DOOMcorps = 9
If shear laziness makes folks truncate our name then why not DOOM? Then again a couple of keystrokes is some straight up laziness. Either way it's a moot point considering folks will call you whatever they please. I think a lot of the guys despise the "DOOMie" thing and we just ask that the three of you who respect us to please address us properly.

Yeah I am Freeblades. Thats where I started my DM career. Being Freeblades is wonderful, allows you to choose sides as you see fit. Not as ruthless/bloodthirsty as Delarqs, but at the same time not as passive as Andorians.
Just a few comments.
I agree with Manager's comments.... anytime you get a group of Delarqs together they do tend to self destruct and basically do nothing except huff and puff and sometimes ya gotta see it to believe it. The Invasion of 11 is a prime example of that. The Delarqs have kind of a "take it or leave it" attitude which usually enables them to bail when the going gets rough, but if the going is good or appears to be good soon for them there aint a more ruthless bunch around that smells blood and capitalizes on it. But for the most part the "new" Delarqs are all bark and no bite which is sad IMHO. This didn't used to be the case. It used to be the Delarqs were King Shit of Turd Mountain, now it apperas that the Delarqs have a case of Identity Crisis which could be attributed to DM's declining fan base.
The Andorians, on the other hand, have actually advanced their cause by their mere persistence despite the ramblings of Street Legal and others. Who'd of thunk it? The oppressed rise up and conquer.
This truly is a role reversal from several years ago. Truly interesting.
Street Legal... I understand your motives and your causes and most of the time feel you are in the right, HOWEVER, your mouth sometimes overloads your ass and unfortunatly the message is lost because of the messanger's incessant ignorant ramblings. Take it down a notch, man, and let the message speak for itself.
Polarius, I truly do love the concept of this contest and hope that more delarqs will rise to the occasion but with the "new" wave of Delarqs it dont look good. I hope for the best for ya and a helluva contest idea.
