Well I know Lord Xiang has been having kittens since no one has heard from me for a while. The Naval Warship I'm stationed on decided it would take a little trip and of course I had to go with. So I was barely able to even make turn deadlines, and there was no spare time for message boards and such.

I did make sure my entry fee was taken care of (Let me know Travis, if you've gotten the reply from Sandy yet), sorry that was so last minute.

At least I'll be good to go during TOGS, now that the ship is back in for a while.

I should be ready to go (Fingers crossed)

Now I'm upset that I didn't think of the ol' bait and switch tactic myself! Sad

The Crazy Creepster just figured this had something to do with his turn to be Ravened.

Yes, there will be two additional teams. Beyond the teams listed in the newsletter, TigToad/Dmobster and TUM/LHI will also be participating. I am awaiting the team names, but I think that the only one currently active are the DARK TOADS who are--not surprisingly--managed by TigToad. I will post the other team names as soon as I have them.

Hmm, interesting pairing.

My lesser-loved TOGS predictions are still a month away, but I'd be surprised if there turns out to be a bigger underdog team in TOGS. Will they be the Guardian/Pip the Troll this edition?

So where are they it's been over a month and the turn is due tomorrow? Better get crackin' ImpreManaRageMan!

I'm leaning towards

Samwise the Bald/Mannequin
Soultaker/Death Stud
The Creepster/Manager
LHI/TUM

in that relative order for the top 4, with a dark horse to an unmentioned team Wink

In a stunning development, TGG has decided he will not be participating in TOGS.

Oh good. I'm sure he'll enjoy the "Shocking Reason TGG backed out of TOGS" spotlights that are going to go around now.

Huh, I completely forgot what a good subject this would make for a spotlight. to think I could have written about something interesting for my first spot instead of the horrid drivel that ended up being my first space filler for TOGS.

You would be on the rankings and able to challenge the first turn of the TOGS...

Argh, another thing I screwed up on. I had meant to fight one of my warriors last turn (the one I wasn't sending to the mail in) so that I would be in the ranks and able to make challenges. Instead I forgot and now I'll have random match ups for all my warriors instead. Gee, I'm getting a great start on TOGS, already forgot to do all my prep work and in a rush to get a spot in I produced one of the absolutely lamest spots I've ever written. Now if I have 2-3 of my warriors die in the mail-in it will be a perfectly crappy start to a TOGS.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing when I read it.

Along those lines, I would highly suggest that all TOGS managers cc: me on their personal ads and spotlights so in case HAL munches them, then I can still give you credit. In the past, Sue has provided an alternate address to cc: for her, but I haven't heard back from her yet. Please cc: TOGSman@gmail.com or sentinel_at_cruzio_dot_com for now and I'll send along the secondary address for ed. if she gets back to me with it.

And so it begins...

You bothered to read that?!? My apologies for those few moments of your life that were complete wasted! As is apparent from my spotlight I haven't decided on what to do for my spots this time. Usually though I get really inspired after reading everyone else's spots, so there is hope that my spots might improve.

Aha, I decided to kill two birds with one stone and use my TOGS Predictions as my Spotlight for turn #1!!!!

As a preview, I think three of your predictions are right on in terms of identifying TOGS contenders--I differed greatly on one of the ones on your list. (To fine out, you'll have to wait for Turn #1!)

Ok, here come the good questions...

How do you e-mail in personal ads?

Is it ads@reality.com?

Heheheh, you haven't read my spotlight for Turn #2 or 3 yet!

You just remembered that the due date is tomorrow, right?

Yeah, I agree because there is no way that team 3 can compete.

No, he remembered last night when I emailed him to ask what the hell his team name was going to be (still waiting, Jiles!).

To LHI:
And yes, you email ads and spots to ads@reality.com and CC: me for TOGS.
