Pre-TOGS is in full-swing! And you know what that means! Fight throwing!

It's that time of year again--the time of year where we band together to assassinate all of the obvious fight throwers!

Now, I don't mean to single out any teams in particular...but...

0-12 for Elfen Lied?
Childhood Trauma an uncharacteristic 1-8?
4000 Blows 2-7?

Now now, it's quite possible that those teams just had an unlucky streak, but you can never be sure. TOGS scoring may not have started, but the contest has already begun.

(If you're averse to killing, then throw fights to the fight throwers! But watch out for killing if-challenged stragtegies!)

Check again my friend, that's 2 DAs a turn over 3, but I appreciate the thought. Smile

Ok, Nuln's off the list. But remember, trust no one! (Except maybe Technogeek)

Both statements are a mistake, Managerr. You are slipping.

(1) Nuln is back on the list. He is French (read above) and clearly not dependable in word or deed.
(2) Those who trust the Technogeek, may finish in last place. He reads too much and is the first of us to reach 1000 wins in any arena. (Ardivent, Arena of The Red Sands.) He be BAD.

TRUST NO ONE (especially Managerr - he colludes just as well as those FONZfreaks) Wink

Nah, that 0-12 is just from 12 healthy doses of Dark Arena cure all. Just what the doctor ordered. Smile

You know what really sucks is when you are throwing a fight and matchup with another fight thrower and your guy pimp slaps him all around the ring and not only wins, but gains 11 rec points.

I will admit that I issued a challenge with the intention of purposely losing the fight. If anyone can find a way to throw a fight to my guy in retaliation, please do. My fight thrower is named Zenar.

Wait, why would people throw fights? I know you get points for upchallenging, but wouldn't you end up going back up the charts relatively fast, but with a crappier personal record?

In any case, throw your fights against me since my guys cherish all of their wins in this sandbagger retreat.

Good logic, but the only problem is that for Togs your record only matters while the contest is going on. If my guy is 0-7 but wins his togs fights once the contest starts thats all that matters. I dont care he's 10-7 because I threw 7 fights if those 10 wins were togs wins and the loses were before togs. The lower your starting rec you more up challenges you have which are worth more points. Always better to be lowest in your class than the highest. A few turns in it all balances out but you might gain some valuable points in those first few turns as well.

But if many of the TOG verterans are adopting the same strategy, it sounds like you'll still be fighting the same warriors you would in the next higher bracket with the exception of the odd man out (i.e. me).

There you go using logic again. Will you ever learn? Wink

But that assumes they all throw fights. We have the " I would never throw a fight" crowd and they wont...and the guys who just never thought of doing it, too lazy to send in strats to do it and so forth and us fight throwers know who they are and thus who to challenge the early rounds Smile

Oh dear, what have I gotten myself into. At least I know one team to avoid (the one downside talking about your strategy in the forums is that you're talking about your strategy in the forums).

True. It will only prove my greatness in my eyes if I'm most avoided round one Smile

They should give points to the Most Challenged and Most Avoided Teams.
