I would tend to think (I don't know since I've never been in the situations) you definately have a shot with the proper matchups and if your skill levels are adequate to fight against the top of the crop, but just imagine the success the warrior would have had if he would have been perfectly timed.

A chance, yes.
FE optimization is very important, however.
Our opinion for equal location in the FE (e.g. 8FE in Inits) the TP has the better chance.
