I was thinking about the word throne...

How about Blood Throne

alternative: Blade Throne

Or maybe...Blades of Glory??? Nah, I'm picturing Will Farrell in that skating outfit stepping out onto sands, epee in hand... Laughing

Throne is a great direction. Blood works, though I'd prefer otherwise you know, having the big 'A' in front of my name. But I nothing pops in my head to go with throne, but there's got to be a lot of good choices.

How about something like Gladiator Prime or Warrior Prime?

How about something involving the term, word, etc Coliseum? In the short few moments I have I'm coming up with nothing off the top of my head to put with "Coliseum" but it makes sense since that's where the gladiators fought and that's what this game is. And I'm not looking for something lame like Coliseum of Death or Ancient Coliseum or anything like that. Something that captures the imagination like Coliseum of Steel or...... I just can't put my finger on it! Anyone?!?!?!?!?!?

"Death Or Glory" comes to mind

Could "Duelmaster" (note the plural has been dropped) be used or is that too close to the original and now illegal "Duelmasters"?

Who knows maybe in their agreement they can get the name Duelmasters back after that stupid card game folds so the reason they aren't coming up with a new name is they expect to get Duelmasters back eventually?

Comments on suggestions:

Immortal quest sounds like a MMORPG to me...

Street, thanks for chiming in. Coliseum is a great synonym for arena, but to me it's too closely related to Rome and real history, as is the word gladiator, as much as it fits.

I sort of like Warrior Prime, but it suggests just one warrior playing rather than a team. Ditto of course for "One Warrior."

Death or Glory, not bad but doesn't ring to me...

I kind of doubt they could use just "Duelmaster" or are simply waiting around to get the old name back. Isn't that card company one of the biggest gaming companies around? Guessing their lawyers would have things covered in any agreement. Who knows. Somebody ask the ladies about it at the FtF this summer!

Now that I've shot everyone else's down Rolling Eyes , how 'bout another suggestion:

By the Sword...

Keep the ideas coming!

Wow, I didn't know you heard my nickname for you in Aruak City! Of course you haven't finished the whole statement. "That big a..." Wink

Not being on the inside of RSI, nor knowing if they have a non-disclosure clause in the contract they signed for release of Duelmasters, but Rillion might be more on it than we think. If the case would have been the name is gone from RSI's grasp in the future, why not start a campaign to rename the game at the time of the agreement with that "stupid" card game.

If I was going to vote for anything put on the boards, it would be;

1) Blood Feud
2) One Warrior (don't know why, but it just rings)

Unfortunately I do not have any creative substance to my body past song and story writing, so I'll be able to say what sounds good, but not offer suggestions.

It is? That tells you how much out of the gaming loop I truly am now...

That's what I thought when I first dreamed up the name. It's totally not special, totally bleah, but for some reason, it just rings nicely. Oh, and think of the acronym for that one!

OW!!

A couple off the top of my head. Apologies if these have been said already:

Battle Zone
Red Sands
Weapon Masters
Supreme Warriors

Straynger/Curtis

The first 4 are worth considering.

I don't think we should call it: Straynger/Curtis.
