well.....if it was put in the games programming, or system, why are we calling it a bug again?

see, i hate it when my way of thinking is waaaaay off on certian matters, lol

I think the rationale may be that it was not discovered how DOMINANT the coding was, for a LONG time, that by the time it was discovered to be OP (overpowered) there was no longer programming developement being done to the game. If it were discovered right away by someone that at a "maxxed out" level it would be like it is they would have tweaked it down to a flat number (based on my assumption that it is a % based on the fact that they become more OP as they get more defense), if not eliminating it or stopping it's advantage beyond a certain defense level ( say Grand Master). Therefore it's a bug by circumstance and timing not by flat out flaw.

I have a Striker (RR) that I just moved to Primus that is Low/High, SC, Slash/Dodge, learned Riposte, and is +4 Defense. I plan on running him, so maybe I'll try targeting AB's that are nearby Rolling Eyes

I've tested it some at Primus level and from what I've seen, if you're not an AB then no, having a fist-fave does not give you a bonus. That may break down to being a style that cant normally get fist, so I dont know about Strikers, but I dont know for sure. I didnt run into Guardian's fist striker all that much, but I would take that match up over Bonnie or Sebastian any day of the week. While some might say I wasted prizes on testing it, I feel that I learned something and running that warrior kept my interest and was fun for quite a while, so I'm happy with it.

You can most definitely use a favorites potion to make any weapon a favorite for any style. FGC (lunger) has a SC favorite and has fared quite well with it. This topic has also come up in the past while chatting with Sandy, and it's most definitely an option.

psst - look it up - Scimitar is not unorthodox for a lunger - it is marginally suited - there is a difference Very Happy

However, I'm pretty sure Chief is mistaken about not being able to use favorites potions to create unorthodox favorites. I'm sure there is at least a PS with Fist favorite and a TP with Fist favorite out there, as well as two SC favorite BAs.

Fist is actually suited for the PS style (according to Terrablood)

As I remember it, at one time you could only use a favorite potion to add/make a weapon that was either well suite or marginally suited for the style - not unorthodox. I'm guessing based on your examples they probably loosened those restrictions sometime in the past.

I have done some experimenting with strikers goin buck necked. The only experiment i have done consisted of me getting punched in the buttocks and beat. On this turn in Iaye, in which i should get in the mail today, my friend and I set up a bloodfued barefisted brawl both running 1-1-1. Both aiming at head and protecting body.

That's genius, let us knot how it went.

I have done the ST open hand on a if challenge strat vs 0-2 armor once. It wound being another ST, I jumped him, slapped him in the face fight over. Awesome!

This is not terribly relevant, but it turns out that this is one of Terrablood's numerous mistakes. I send tons of rejects to the DA using the Fist and Parry-Strikes use the Fist in an unorthodox fashion (confirmed once again in today's mail). The only styles well suited to the Fist are AB and ST, with BA using it marginally effectively.

Purple Sage and I did bare-handed grudge matches at several FtF's in the 90's with his Fist fave Striker against one of my warriors who wasn't fist fave. I think one of them we went 1-1-1, with both attacking chest, protecting body to see how long it would last. If I ever get some free time I will try looking for the fights.
