I recently started up a team. I'm getting slaughtered out there. It has been very frustrating and I'm near ready to quit. Is there an arena more fit for beginners?

Arena 93 is the arena for new guys, but considering you have a team in activity I don't know if you can go there.

If you can, ask more specific questions so we can give you adequate answers. If you don't know what to ask feel free to PM me and I'll help you as I can and help with your questions. You'll find those in the D2 community cherish new players and do not want them to drop the game.

Good luck and welcome to the boards.

JGW

I don't think it's too much to ask to let him start over in 93

Welcome to the Game Mike!

Specific things needed to know in confidence [such as PMing JGW] is what arena you are playing in and what styles you are running and what those styles numbers are!

By knowing what arena you are playing in the person assisting you can help you determine what styles you are up against in that arena!

Another consideration is to write a Personal Ad to the arena you are currently playing in and announce you are a Newbie and could use some pointers from someone!

There are some managers who enjoy picking on New Stables that arrive in an arena just because that roster comprises "New Meat" for the arena!

But many managers will take into consideration that you are a newcomer and some will offer you helpful suggestions and sometimes refrain from challenging your warriors until you get used to the competition from random match ups!

Go to www.terrablood.com and get signed in so you can view the newsletters and see the Styles that some managers have posted to assist you when deciding who to Challenge and which stables to Avoid each cycle!

You need to consult some charts to determine which weapons your styles are Well Suited to using and what the numbers requirements are for each weapon selection!

Knowing the statistics of your current warriors can help determine if they are worth running or if they need to go to the Dark Arena!

Another consideration to share with someone assisting you is what type of strategies you are using with your current crop of gladiators!

Find someone [like JGW who offered some assistance!] to share this info with and it should get you focused in the proper direction!

Mike, post your arena/s. The likelihood is that some of us here are in that arena and will provide you help specifically in it. We Consortiumites run in MANY arenas, and would be glad to help you win and builf confidence.

I want to emphasize - PM some of the managers and post here. This group wants people to enjoy the game and wants people to participate. Almost everybody will be very helpful.

Also, read some of the back postings in the forum here. First, you can learn a lot from advice already given and second, you will see how helpful most of these managers are.

When I was new a long time ago... I did two things. I found a manager who was helpful and emailed a question a day probably... and I read terrablood's web page. It has so much information on it, that its super helpful in learning things.
