Ullrich Bladesong will be unavailable to hunt anyone down for a few turns. |

Upon arrival, please challenge the warrior "Raider" with a killing strategy, if it wouldn't be too much trouble.
I don't use the DA, and can't seem to get him killed. |

Don't hold your breath, but this might be enough to get me going in Sunset. I love watching failure, especially my own. |

Way to make an introduction. Gotta give them props.
Anyone wanna lay odds on how long they last?
I'll give
2:1 he lasts 20 turns
5:1 he lasts 40 turns
25:1 he lasts 50 turns
5,720:1 he lasts 100 turns
That is if he's actually a new player and not some old manager that is returning or coming in under a new moniker. |

uh, yeah, about that. Would you believe it was an accident? Why did I have two initiates kill opponents who have teammates in the challenger champions? That was not the plan! Killing a beggar - fine! Killing someone with strong teammates when your a rookie - bad idea!
Just remember how silly you would feel if Ullrich defeated one of your veterans. You don't really want to risk that, do you? |

I'm sure it was not intentional, but that doesn't mean I won't make you suffer for a bit. And judging from the "talent" I have left in Sunset right now, I would not be surprised if Ullrich pulls out an upset. Knothandler lost to a stand-in a turn or two ago, Surly Deckhand continues to defy all expectations, and Salty is about as boring as they come.
Bumboo Swiller was a pretty one: 7-6-10-21-15-10-15 ST
No luck with the replacements this past turn, either. |

Given how there is a lack of new players coming into the game I'll take this cat lasting the 100 turns and then some.
I'll be forced to activate my team in there so he can win against someone and have incentive to keep playing. |

I'd love to see you (and Apex too) activate in Sunset! Things have gotten a bit soft and boring around there lately with many vets like Ultraist and Papa Bear and Doc Steele going dormant. We could continue our fun from 45! |

JGW - I hope you prediction on the length of time the new-guy lasts is correct. We will have to see how new they really are.
And let me add my voice to Stik's - you should come join the fun in Sunset. As you said, that should help the new guy stick around. |

Funny you should mention this. I'm actually considering running the next installment of the Slaughterhouse (or a variation thereof) in Sunset if the current managers are not against it. |

A regular speed arena? Interesting...
Well, I can't speak for the others, but I wouldn't object. There are some younger managers that would have to be surveyed, but it is an interesting idea. |

Yep, regular speed. The Slaughterhouse has turned out to be everything I hoped for it when I conceived the idea. Good participation and close competition being the main factors I was hoping to achieve, and they have been met well through the contests half way point. I think it could have a bigger draw to managers who won't step foot in a slow arena. Plus many of the managers that are currently participating are fast arena managers normally with only a few of us being the exceptions (Wretch, Kat and myself).
I think a variation of the contest would be in order because of Sunset's history. It deserves a contest all of its own in my opinion.
Just a seed thought for the time being. The Slaughterhouse and TOGS are still in full swing, and the Turf War is upcoming. I would probably be looking to start after the Spring Mailer if enough people are interested in Sunset. |
