Was browsing the newsletters today and noticed Mordant had it's 601st turn, wow! Divided by 24 is 25.04166666!
I've only been on the ship for 18 of those years which is slightly over half of my life.
Grats to everyone that's keeping this thing going!!! Hope it goes another 25 years!!!
Party at my house to celebrate if anyone is in the area of SW Missouri. |

I have a 3-digit account #. Are there any double digits out there?

There are 52.177457 weeks per year.
26.0887285 turns per year.
601/26.0887285 = 23.0367685 years
= 23 years and not quite a turn (1.9 weeks)
(hmmm...maybe we could account for some relativity in there... ) |

I stand corrected 26 turns per year not 24, 23 years not 25...So should there be something done for year 25? A toast, a parade, a speech or something? |

I have a four digit account number and have been playing in Aruak City for 21 and a half years. I believe some arenas have had turns played less due to lack of participation and some arenas had quicker turnarounds when a change of due date. |

Ken/Purple Sage and my cousin actually started playing when DM27 Point opened, but something got fouled up and they missed the first turn. So RSI moved the team to 30 so they could start on the very first turn. The first turn of Iaye was run November of 85. My cousin lost interest soon after and Ken suckered me into taking over for my cousin in early 86. Ken and I started the Sorcery Covenant team in DM3 under my account number on turn 34, which was March of 86.
So guess DM3 must have started in Oct/Nov of 84.
As for Mordant. I believe Guardian is correct, it was used as a test arena in the begining. Also if I remember correctly, DM2 Niania was actually the original Bloodgames arena, that is why it's turn number is much lower than Mordant and Osksi. |

Yo, Guardian. 84 it was! Been around almost 25 years. Yes, we have a four-digit account number. We are hoping to last another 25 years, DM or not! |

I remember hearing or reading about arena #2 having crashed or something and they moved the teams to arena #1. Then DM#2 reopened as the 10 turn arena bloodgames. The movement of the teams and such caused DM#1 to get behind in turns.

I was on summer vacation as an 8th grader back in 1984 or so. I remember bringing every Dragon magazine I had with me up to the Up North in Michigan at some cabin my parents brought us up to for the week. My plan was to send away for every free thing advertised in any of those magazines. As luck would have it, Duelmaster was one of those.
Back then, my friends and I each managed one warrior (five of us) and split the turn costs.
Nothing was so great as sitting in the lawn chair in the driveway, waiting for the mail to come, hoping Duelmasters would be in there.
I still remember the sting of my 3-0-1 Slasher dieing, and the thrill of reading the fight for my first Duelmaster.
As far as account numbers go, it was a ftf or two ago, and I went up to get my batch of team RUs, and one of the RSI girls asked for my account number so she could write it down. I told her my three numbers, and she looked up at me waiting for the rest.....I was like, that's it. lol Just three numbers. Someplace in the 500s.
