Wow, talk about a turn of highs and lows for me! When I saw the newsletter, I was thrilled to see Lutherius attain my first duelmaster title in Shadowspire! Ahh, the view from up here is great and I hope to be here alittle longer!

After looking alittle closer though, I discovered I went 1-4! Yuck! Sad I had a promising warrior die in rematch duel from last turn where both his weapons broke in the opening moments of the fight. The rematch apparently went worse as he died this turn. I was also briefly excited to see I had dodged my bloodfued with Nero only to find out he lost anyways. <grumble....grumble...grumble>

Ahh well. I guess despite all the bad, grabbing the title, even if only for one turn, makes up for the rest.

Also, as a side note. It's awesome to see two new teams in the arena this turn. I'd love to see the number of teams bounce back to 30-34 and stay there.

Good luck guys on turn 43!!!

Ugh, horrid turn for me as well 1-4. I didn't get my bloodfued through so it appears that avoiding works better than I thought.

5-0-1 for the Guild!

We managed to bounce Kellumbo from the top team spot as well. One win was even against one of his. Nice to be back at the top. In fact, Kellumbo has tumbled to #3.

And congrats to our new DM!

Also, welcome to the new teams, even if I did kill one of their guys. Sorry 'bout that Captain.

Turn 42, well 4-1-1 has gotten me on the road. I was a bit surprised by the kill of Pentarches guy, all my KDs were dropped under 5. Death is so much more lasting here, I do not mean to hack people down; however, the Panda gets in his moods.

I must say this is the best arena, and truly gives me great enjoyment every turn.

4-1 and top current team, I'll take it.

My one loss was a death. Pauly's Pet Poodle 11-3-9-15-15-16-15 ST, poor end, good dam. Was learning attack and dec. He'll be missed.

Another win against Trip is nice too. That put it at 10-5 my favor.

Grats to Ale House Mercs for winning the race to 5 kills(see last turn's post)

Grats to Literate Loons for busting the 100 mark.

Nice to see Shadowspire Yellow Press again.

Looks like Rodent Clan picked up a kill too. A tie between them makes 6 the new kill mark. Guess we can look at it as a sort of play-off.

My money is still on Rodent Clan, as I picked them before this turn to win the contest.

2-3 for me with nothing exciting happening. I did notice that none of my challenges went through this time, so I'm curious if my stuff made it to RSI in time.

I did manage to win my last fight with Chaucer, graduating him at 21-21-1. At one point he was 12-18-1, so that comes as no less than a small miracle to me.

I went 2-0 against Kellumbo this turn, so Dragonbane Guild and La Pentarchie can send me my payment in gold or silver for contributing to their overtaking him in the team standings (though DK did waste me pretty good in 45, but that is another story).

I stand corrected. Grats to Rodent Clan & Ale House Mercs. I'd sure like to know what Swinetiger is feeding Slaughter Mouse 5.

I did better, 3-2-0 with 1 DA. The replacement sucks, so I will have too DA again.

Borne got lucky and finally broke his long losing streak. Only time will tell if I figured him out or not.

Sorry for no ads, I had them written up on my laptop, but forgot to send them in.

Went 4-1. Darque, only 1 of my challenges went through too seems a bit strange. Flor dropped out of the CC's with dissapointing but entertaining loss to Borne. I hope she makes it back up to the CC's next turn.

Grats to Rodent Clan and Ale House Mercs. I am anxious to see which of you wins and what you choose as the trophies name.

Draugfood. It's nice to take the deathtoll battle to the next level, but he's really only pumping up the kills to make his name appropriate. Sadly, I cherish his record too much to have him go head to head with the Draugs high FE bloodfeuders, so the Rodent Clan will be taking a break until the BF period is over. Damn you Shadowspire and your 5-man rules! I'd get the Player Committee to overturn it in the case of mismatched BFs, but I can't seem to find the current elected officers.

Doesn't sitting out the team to avoid a BF kinda (no not kinda, I mean REALLY) go against the whole spirit of the arena?

I thought we were trying to recreate the golden days of DM when people ran full teams, wrote personal ads, had a pair and stayed for 4 turns of a BF, etc etc.

While it's hard for me to think back to '85, I'd imagine that even back then I would've avoided a bloodfued if I was potentially going to be facing somebody with 5 times the FE of my warrior, especially if my warrior had a promising record. I don't DC and I generally challenge way up, so I don't fear daily adversity, but I do value close to prestine records. Sorry.

Yeah, whatever! Just don't forget your purse and lipstick as you leave Shadowspire for the next 4 turns.
