I haven't gotten my turn back yet, but thought I would get the thread going in anticipation of the no-holds-barred punching brawl for the throne.

I got my turn today.
The bare knuckle brawl did not occur. It is possible that a Champion cannot challenge the Duelmaster (only a Challenger Champion can) but can still randomly match up with him. |

I haven't gotten my turn yet, but did see the NL. It looks like only the strong survive in this tough man arena. I figure that if I keep smack talking the few remaining teams, they will stick around to try and take me down a notch. In the meantime, what nice things can I say about Narcoleptic Guard in my ninth DM column?

Given the skills of the remaining managers, this arena is definitely not a walk in the park, so hopefully you will try and stick it out longer than those featherweights. The two things I've done to get to where I'm at is participating in every tourney and using a couple RUs for my star warriors that other managers would say are too good to waste on bashers. I also reserved the DM throne since they don't except walk-ins.

Oh, I'm not going anywhere Swine Tiger. I got Chest Pain's replacement and I couldn't have asked for much better. Bash-O-Matic '76 could be very sweet. I only wish I could get these RRs in other arenas so I could make it something else.
Can I mail him in for the tourney if I send him back now? |

Tell me if this is right. I plugged Chest Pain's stats into Terrablood and it said his base ATT was 11. If he got expert ATT after 1 skill, does that mean he was +4 in attack? I thought I read it takes 16 to get exp and 20 for adv exp. If so, what does it take to get the higher ratings? |

You are correct, if Terrablood said he should have a base attack of 11 and he got his Expert in 1 skill, he is indeed +4 in Attack.
The ratings are:
16 Expert
20 Advanced Expert
26 Master
34 Advanced Master
44 Grand Master
56? Arch Master |

Thanks OAB. I finally know how to check if my warriors are bonused or hosed. I love learning new things in DM. There's a comforting feeling in not knowing everything about this game, and knowing that there are new things around the corner. I does suck that my +4 ATT Basher had to die to such an unusual weapon for a basher. I was asking for it by going 10-10-10 in desperation, now I'm really peeved at myself. |

If it makes you feel any better, Ham Burglar is no slouch either:
11-9-13-21-12-7-11 BA
His use of the Broadsword has been an unsuccessful experiment, so far.
Anyhow, it is sad to see such a fine warrior as Chest Pain die in his prime. Ham Burglar will be awaiting the bloodfeud. |

I think you should be able to. I would send the replacement roll-up and his tournament strategy in the same envelope and include a note saying something to the effect of "Please roll-up immediately so he can participate in the tournament as a Rookie!"
Its no guarantee this close to the tournament, but you'll have a shot anyway. |

You can also fax him in - just do a follow-up call for piece of mind to ensure he was received and input. While an original rule of the arena was no rookies in tourneys, I don't think anyone will contest it since all of the current managers are on this thread encouraging you do so
