AND, who still plays these days that played when i was. Managerr, Doc Steel, Papa Bear and Ultraist to name a few were the more popular players then. I seen Managerr on the duel email threads some.....and i seen Kelumbo with a few post here. Unless anyone changed names, which i would know nothing about, who is who these days?

Welcome back!
There are two new "no tourney" arenas which are quite popular, DM-81 and DM-83. To join them, you have to commit to no tournaments with that team until ADM and to try your hardest to run a full team every turn that you decide to play. They feature lots of teams, personal ads, dm columns, and spotlights and have a very old-school feel.
ABs dominate most levels of ADM. Up until recently, STs were dominating all levels of Basic. However, PRs are now in ascendance in Basic, which is creating a far more level playing field. Just this past mail-in tourney saw 5 different classes TC basic tournaments (LU, ST, PR, AB, WS).
You will find that the majority of managers are still playing (and some familiar faces have returned), including Managerr, Kellumbo, Papa Bear, The Muffin Man, The Upright Man, Guardian, etc. Doc Steele has been absent for a few tournaments, possibly in protest over a new "one and done" policy for ADM classes (if you win one TC in a class, you are moved up to the next class, thus preventing eternal sandbagging).
Good luck and see you on the sands.

The game's the same.
The players are mostly the same.
There is some great "new player - returning player info on this site.
The no-tournament arenas - 81, 83 slow seem popular

And you have arena's like Lapur heavily populated too many personals. People writing those dang spot lights. Just feels to much like old Duelmasters. I would suggest staying away from Lapur.

i probably have teams in every arena, aside from any new ones that were created while i was gone. i really need to get my stuff out and see what is garbage and what is runnable, lol. but im definately coming back, probably wont be able to enter any warriors in the f2f, but after the first of the year look for any teams called Wensinwasin, Dragon Junkies or my team in sunset is called Puddle of Blood

Well, we'd love to see the Puddle show up in Snset. Welcome back to the game.
