Post three (or more) things you LIKE about the game, and three (or more things) you WISH were different or improved about the game. I'll start:

LIKE

The rollup game-within-a-game
(quasi-) permadeath in the basic game; gives the game an edge
The hidden features and mysteries of the game, some of which are still unknown after all these years

WISH

less incentive to min-max; tired of seeing warriors either naked or in full plate
implementation of the ADM features teased all those years ago and never delivered
meaningful non-tourney ADM content

What are your LIKES and WISHES?

This was a serious post, by the way. I know that the likelihood of change is minimal; I just thought a short commentary about pros and cons would be interesting.

Like:
1 Ability to play at your own pace and/or income level.
2. Number cruncher's haven.
3. The people

Wish:
1. Definite update in Technology.
2. Bug Fixes, greater rules enforcement, implementing various rules the same way for each person.
3. Ocassional New Gaming Content (almost anything would be nice)

I think that is huge. Also with prizes I think every conceivable thing you can do with a prize should be mentioned to all.

For example: If there is a favorites prize, some people may have thought that was just OE/AL, Weapon. But if one or two knew you could also add in there favorite learn and others didn't know thats a big deal. All prizes should be concise and exact for everyone and announced.

Whoah...
First of all, are you saying that "if you don't ask, you don't get" ?

That's...shady. Unethical comes to mind, as well.

So with the fav.s potion you just write down what favorites you want changed on warrior #xxxx on a plain sheet of paper and you aren't informed as to what you can really do. I would have thought that they would send a form to fill out with all of your choices. That is a bit Slim Shady.

You can also change to weapons not well suited to a style.

(Now I've let the cat out of the bag and we're going to see more War Flail Aimed Blows next time this is offered)

Tripwire's example is hypothetical. (To my knowledge you can't get favorite learn unless you change it specifically) However, right now if you win a TC prize and are not sure how to use it, make sure you post on the forums or PM someone who knows so they can tell you all of your options.

For example, not everyone knows you can often request an extension if you really have no one to use your prize on in a 6 month period. (That said, they have been tougher in granting them these days from what I hear)

This would be another area where not everyone is treated the same. (One of your "wants".) You just have to ask/ask beg/plead, but flexibility is available.

Sorry yes, that was hypothetical. I didn't mean to imply that specific trait was true I was just generalizing. However, there are and have been instances like that where the player has no idea how the prize works and assumes and are not told the exact extensiveness of said prize.

Likes:
-I mainly like what I have control of.
-Multiplicity of strategies from individual warrior's fights to their development along with group strats within groups within all stables.
-Warrior design with variety of all ten styles.
-Long-term planning.
-Short-term planning.
-The tourney game.
-The regular arena game.
-The people I barely know I do like, however I hardly know anyone.
-I loved the roll-play but can't seem to find time for it these days.

Wishes:
-Bug fixes are great if everyone is happy with them and we can all go back to focusing on the game itself rather than debating and worrying about possible coming changes. I'm still pretty much neutral on the proposed changes, I'll be happy either way for different reasons.
-That I could afford to play more and go to Faces more often, I'm the only one in control of that, however.
-That arena 103 will grow in population along with some of my other favorite arenas like 35, 32 and 20 be reopened for nostalgic purposes only really.
-But, still I had to think fairly hard for these few wishes, I really like this game even the way it is, if there are changes, I'll probably still like those as well.

1. Winning

2. The almost 100% good sportsmanship mixed in with good old smack talk.

3. New roll-ups

4. More than anything maybe the uniqueness of each warriors experience.

Dislikes
1. Losing

2. Inevitably encountering the end of the game when it gets to the point of Aimed Blow dominance at the top. Sounds boring and cheap.

Likes:

1. Designing and running odd warriors and then trying to win (or lose) with them.
2. The basic game - So much fun playing and strategizing against similarly developed warriors.
3. Jorja's ads - wish more people would make even a small effort to write.

Dislikes

1. Having warriors that I'm having fun playing die later in their careers.
2. The fact that arena play, other than 81/83, is mostly dead.
3. Primus has almost no appeal to a manager like me.

I was reading some old posts and came across this... Can anyone expand on this for me? I feel like "I don't know what I don't know".

I was under the impression that the game is fair and that the battle I'm fighting as a returning player is one of knowledge and experience. Now I can appreciate that there may be 'secrets' that mgrs will hold close to their chest and that's fine, but what are we referring to when we say rules are not enforced the same way?
