Start off in Rodeki (arena 42), its small, good managers, but best of all... it currently has my putz´s pretending to be fighters floating around there.

Well, you can always come to Talcama (1Cool. Many consider it one of the finest of all the arenas in Alastari.

The competition is tough, but the people are more than willing to help and have lots of experience.

It depends on what you are looking for in an arena really. Do you want fast or slow? Pacifist or kill happy? If you want a tough fast arena that is fun, I suggest Talcama. If you want a slow arena that is fun, Chimlevtal is the place to be. Both of these arenas are tough, and if you want to ease back into play, might I suggest Noblish Island. It is the training arena for 10 turns and then you can transfer to a regular arena. As long as you have been absent from the game, I´m sure Sandy or Lee would have no problem letting you in.

Ok here is the thing about the Fast or Slow Arena issue. I live in Hawaii and usually our mail is stable. Ive gotten Large Envelopes from New York in two days. but then again ive had letters on island take to weeks to arrive. So im debating on the fast or slow...

I am a slow arena manager that ventures into fast arenas on occasion (ie, Aradi for the TOGS). Many will say the pace is terrible for a slow arena, and they are completely right. However, there are a few advantages to slow arenas. More time to plot and strategize for the upcoming turn. If you are like me, it is a purely financial decision and you discover that you can run twice as many warriors for the same amount of money. Also, I think slow arena have their own little sub-culture that exists apart from the mainstream players of DM. I would explain but then it would cease to be interesting

As an alternative to a small, 4-6 team arena where you fight the same opponents every turn, you could also try arenas like 7 and 12, with a good number of teams, allowing more options in opponents.

Hawaii can definitely handle fast arenas, I lived there and played in fast arenas fine for a year or two.

Why in God's name would this ancient, useless thread have almost 5,000 views? Gotta be a glitch. Let it rest.
