Thanks for the pictures. That looks like so much fun.

I was reading some of the newsletters. I guess no one had grudge matches.
What is a grudge match?

My FtF by the numbers:

    59 warriors entered
    11 AB, 10 LU, 10 ST, 6 SL, 5 BA, 4 PR, 4 WS, 4 TP, 3 PS, 2 PL
    1 Primus, 2 Contenders, 2 Eligibles, 7 ADM, 4 Freshmen, 2 Challengers, 2 Champions, 1 Adept, 12 Initiates, 9 Apprentices, 17 Rookies
    233-176-4-3 record (57% w/l percentage)
1 TC, 2 RU, 4 TV, plus 1 death in round 12 (12% award percentage)

Highlights:

Contenders TC with a natural LU! I thought my other LU in Contenders (Gringold) had a shot, as he had TV'd the class 4 times before and had trained his DF 3 times since the freeze, putting him above the Contenders line at 312 skills. He went 6-3, while a 295 skill LU (Goldenbeard) who had never TV'd before in his life picked up 6 CN trains and went on to an improbable victory over TMM's LU.

Two runner-ups, one with a natural TP in Freshmen (Spare Anchor) and the other with a natural SL in Initiates (Orc Tenderloin). Congrats to Mannequin and the Dark One for their well earned victories over them.

Had a very diverse group win awards. Besides the LU TC in Contenders, the TP RU in Freshmen, and the SL RU in Freshmen, I had an AB and LU TV ADM, a BA and WS TV Freshmen, and a ST die in round 12 of the Initiates. That's everything but PL, PS, and PR this tourney that made it past round 10 for me.

Lowlights:

Entered 17 Rookies. All of them were eliminated by round 7. Wow do I suck at this class! I guess I'll have a lot of mediocre entrants ready for Apprentices in the spring.

Bloodgames was a bust. I didn't have anyone remotely competitive this time.

Upon hearing that Zombies are immortal, I ran my 23 FE Zombie (Buried Treasure) in the Champs. Died at 2-2-1. Not an auspicious beginning to her afterlife.

Had a ST (Eddy) TV Dead Apprentices in October, only to die at 9-3 in the Initiates at the hands of the eventual TC (thanks a lot, TDO!). I guess death suits him.

-----

Congrats to all the winners! I believe the final TC tally was 4 for TMM, 2 for TUM, 1 for each of myself, Mannequin, TDO, Anarchist, and LHI. The BG victors were TMM with a ST, WS, and TP, Chief with a PS, Marma Duke with a LU, and LHI with an AB. Enjoy the spoils of victory.

It was great to see everyone. Looking forward to the Spring Mail-In, as always.

OAB - congrats on your TC and other results. The diversity particularly impressed us. We aplaud you for it.

Just got finished reading through my tournament again ...

The numbers: I entered 80 exactly .. 314-242 ( .565 % ) .. I killed 16 and lost 4 myself

I ended up with 13 TV's ( 16% TV rate) , including the Rookies Runner Up ( Grats to Anarchist on an awesome TC fight!! )

It was a very bottom heavy tourney this time out with fully 50 of my 80 warriors in the Inits and lower. My biggest class was Rookies with 28 and my smallest were Contenders and Eligibles with 3 each. I didn't play anyone in the Primus or Freshmen tourney. ( Yes the Freshmen weren't classed right again despite the book saying Freshmen )

The tourney highlights for me were obviously my Runner Up in Rookies , seeing Gentleben get his first TV ( glad I could help by losing so often ) , and seeing all my Duel friends.

The lowlights were getting food poisoning from my last meal before I hopped on my red eye flight Sunday night. Last year I got a stomach virus on Saturday and took the red eye home sick as well. I believe God is telling me to take that Monday morning flight from now on.

Great seeing everyone and already looking forward to Orlando.

WOW! Nice tournament Floyd, esp with the distribution.
NAUGHTY - did you really kill 16?! SIXTEEN!PUNISHMENT - God may have been watching, but that was the devil punishing you for too many TVs and kills. (You dirty, rotten winner!)
Salute.

Consortium mediocre results
entered 55
57.6% W/L
6 died, 3 kills
3 TVs only
won the Crapmaster event

HIGHLIGHT
reading the first REAL final (Fresh) of TP vs TP (with my own twist) with two friends on the hot seat

LOWLIGHT
six godling (including two arena runners) killed

THOUGHTS
...loved the tombstones on the wall with everyone participating (even though I contributed heavily)
... thanks to Assur for hosting Crapmaster as it was nearing defunctnes -a fun event
... grats to the TC clan - even TUM and TUM with six between them
... was a pleasure seeing everyone - a good showing at 25+

SEE Y'ALL in ORLANDO July 2013
