"SEAM (DM 20) REOPENS AS A NEW NO-TOURNEY ARENA!

Seam (DM 20) will be re-opening soon as a no-tourney DM arena! If you enjoy arena
play without tournament interference, this arena is for you! Only rookie teams may
enter this arena, and all managers must sign the "no-tourney" pledge. Turn 0 is due
on May 4 (overviews only) and Turn 1 is due on May 18.

To avoid confusion, all old inactive teams which were in Seam have travelled to
Mazgourrah (DM 77).

Seam is the newest arena to join the no-tourney group of arenas and will process on
opposite weeks with Shadowspire (DM 81), the original no-tourney arena. Other no-
tourney arenas include Telorinthe (DM 83), a slow arena, and Storm Rock (DM 107), for
ADM warriors.

Join in the fun! Send in your new rollup along with the pledge soon so you can get in
on the ground floor of this new arena!"

Who's in? I am!

Wish I had the cash to play in 20/81/107.

I'm going to try and squeeze blood from a stone and find a way to finance a team in 20. I am 99% for turn 1. Then it will be a day-to-day, or turn-to-turn rather, practice, and hopefully not in futility, to keep it active!

My only fear with this new arena is that instead of 1 healthy non-tourney arena, it will pull participants from 81 and we instead will have two half empty areas in 6 months.

I have always craved a second non-tourney arena, but with only 17 teams left in 81, I am unsure if there is enough support to maintain 2 of them. Confused

I think I'm about 90% sure I'll put a team in and run on turn 1, and try to run a while.

I have 2 sheets, well I have 28 others (maybe 15 make decent arena teams) from TDO's prize for winning the NCAA bracket 3 years ago. His cast offs, for, tourneys had some nice arena teams.

I am torn as to which one I will run. I have 2 candidates right now. One I'd love to run for the pure challenge and the interest it will cause me, it is an all AB roll-up sheet. The 2nd is a much more rounded team.

Hoping you guys will "un-tear" me, or even tell me both teams suck!

#1:
8-7-10-8-5-15-17
5-10-15-10-12-5-13
11-13-7-10-7-11-11
9-5-6-10-12-13-15
4-15-12-10-9-5-15

or #2:
12-9-14-12-4-10-9
9-12-5-11-14-12-8
9-9-13-11-10-5-13
13-9-10-4-13-10-11
10-8-16-9-5-10-12

or #3:
Look through the other 28 sheets for a better team, well make that about 10-15 sheets that I deemed "runnable arena teams".

I remember you had a team there, Longshot. In the 80s, there were teams like Animal Farm, The Almost Were, Ironhand Orcs, there was a manager named Blue that wrote lots of spotlights...Mannequin and some others I'm forgetting.

Looking forward to Turn 1 very much!

Those were the days ...........................Animal Farm transferred to 11
Mannequin is yet active elsewhere.
Ironhand Orcs (Boss Rat ... Dave) is no longer a player.

We Consortiumites were very disdained and angered when the stupid decision was made to close some smaller arenas. We completely quit for 6-8 months, but were lured back. We would never place a team in Seam, unless Animal Farm was reinstated there.

My team, Bathtub Armada, was transferred to DM-7. I think I only bothered to graduate my longtime DM, Tenacious (TP), whose claim to fame is having defeated Arenamaster and finishing his career as an Eligibles R-up.

Back in the day Seam was a great arena with a lot of great managers & personalities. Easily my favorite arena.

Maybe, it will be like that again! It would help immensely if Animal Farm, Bathtub Armada, and Longshot joined us too! Sure, it's too bad they closed it way back when but that's over. Let's start anew.

Hopefully this arena can have success (44+ teams) similar to Shadowspire in the early days. Anyone know how many teams have confirmed for turn 1?

The time s approaching fast and I have sent in my team sheet last night. Running out of time, May 4th, to get your team in and back with overviews for turn 1, May 18th!
