I've never been a big fan of the 'glass half-empty' etc. Confused

I just wanna know -- "What are you pourin'?"

Managerr is in Tempe and is having lunch with Lee today. Hopefully we get a decent amount of info from him. Good or bad any news is better than nothing

At this point I'm realistically just hoping this snafu doesn't affect plans for the summer FTF in New Orleans, as I'm already booked.

What I know:
============
Lee is very non-committal about dates. "I've been wrong about every estimate and if I knew the estimated date or time
table I would have given it out already."

She feels everything will be done "soon'ish". (But also noted she's thought that for awhile now)

The Mail-In will be no earlier than 5/14. The Summer FtF will happen no matter what as the contracts are locked in. Even if the Mail-In and Summer FtF have to be run really close to each other, that will still happen. (Sandy isn't thrilled about this idea)

At this point, all of the modules are working individually--but not together. They don't want to run certain turns and say
have the right run, but something not recorded properly and the information not backed up or the game state(s) saved correctly.
(Got the impression this was a bigger issue in FR and HW than D2 but could be wrong)

Sandy is totally caught up on input and once given the green light can start running things right away. No data was lost.

You can order team roll-ups. Saturday due dates are going away and will be moved to another date. They are also not able to apply
TC prizes right now.

Shouldn't be any massive changes to the game or environment as a result of these changes. The game engine didn't have to be
recompiled and were able to ported over as is. They did (and are) making code changes, but all of those were to non-game engine stuff
(configuration, improvements to the UI, etc.) The random number generator they used was built in-house so that shouldn't make any
difference either.

HR and FR games are expected to pick up right where they left off.

What happened is that the electric company was scheduled to replace a pole near the building. They had a scheduled outage time with RSI
where they were supposed to shut down their systems, etc. Then 10 minutes before the scheduled time their was a massive power spike that disabled
two surge protectors and an important motherboard. Then problems happened because the OS they run on was from 1991--so it lead to a lot of
upgrades, etc. The good news is that important upgrades that needed to happen now did and it will help things for the future. This building was
also the new building by the way, which was to where Book Maze was located before last summer.

Probably everyone knew this but this should have read Friday due dates/Saturday run dates.

Games that previously ran on Saturday will be run on another day of the week. (not necessarily Monday or Friday).

Thanks for the update Dwayne..... It looks like things are moving in the right direction. At the end of the day, these are upgrades/updates which needed to be made long-term regardless of circumstance.

On a side note, ff they bunch the mail-in/FTF close together I'd be curious to see how they deal with the freeze for the FTF (post mail-in results).

6 weeks and counting... y'know, the longer this goes on, the more we realize we can do without it.
