Woo Hoo!! Team on the Move! Well, 4-1-0... A good run, particularly after that dismal 0-5 on turn 249.
I seemed to have caught the judges and matchmakers at just the right junction. Embezzling Scribe was probably as inept as usual (and an easy win) for one of my new guys, Flare, and even Syzygy caught a lucky match with a new kid, so after 3 losses he finally is allowed to get in early and meet the more attractive women in the taverns before their dance cards are full.
Since Moonshadow only picked up 5 points and won in just one minute (and because the mail hasn't arrived yet) I'm assuming that Nasty Pelosi wasn't much of an opponent -- but I'll bank the win anyway! And Swabby Sam--- I took a calculated risk, and crossed my fingers and burned the correct sacrifices, etc..... and stopped that 10 win record from growing. The newsletter reads: "...Luckily beat..." but it ran only 4 minutes. Eclipse can go 20, no problem, so I am curious to read that fight and find out what was so 'lucky' about it. Perhaps the fact that Eclipse regularly chews on his 'Good Luck Garlic', like most TP's, had something to do with it? (I don't think it builds up his stamina, like the TP affectionadoes insist. I think it just causes their opponents to hold their breath when they get within striking distance, and that seems to help a lot, apparently.)
It's been a difficult work week. Nice, so nice, to get some good news! Happy 250th turn to everyone!!

Happy 250th!
Especially my fellow first-turners. It has been a long road. This is still a great arena.
As far as the turn goes, a not terrible, but not very exciting 2-3. There really isn't much to say about it.

A very solid 4-1 for the Cult! Beat Den and Blackhart on their challenges to boot!

3-2 for the Diner, with one DA. Den DC'd me, giving me a win and four skills. It's hard to be mad about that! Pho C finally graduated. Turns out I was completely wrong about his favorite weapon. Replacement is decent.
Bring on the next 250 turns!

3-2 for me with my young guys winning and my geezers losing. Barbarossa is gone and has to be one of the most frustrating warriors I have ever run. But, he got awesome faves, so I'll continue the self-inflicted wounding in 107 with him.
A special SYP should be in your envelope for Turn 251, covering, you guessed it, Turn 1 - 250. Enjoy!
