Not an overly exciting RU......more like underly exciting

Several options of course:

15-9-9-11-15-14-11 BA
11-9-9-15-15-14-11 SL/LU
11-9-9-15-16-13-11 SL/LU
15-9-9-15-10-13-13 PS/BA

Which way to go which way to go? I do not plan on DAing this, gunna try and give it a go as something.....there are starving managers in 3rd world DM arenas that would kill for a RU like this.....Den comes to mind Wink

Re: 9-9-9-9-10-13-11 .... many decent (e.g. not terrible) options.

I like 13-9-9-15-12-13-13 ST/BA and bump WL & CN. Not terrific; not terrible. Cool

I tend to lean on the side of DF; I like the skills it brings and higher than 11 seems to bring in more 'lucky' attacks. Of course, other viable options exist...

12-12-12-12-12-13-11 PS?? Wink

13-9-9-13-16-13-11 LU/SL train WL once. IMO a 13 WT is just as good as 15

Too much DF for a Piker, don't you think? A competent P-Riposte, but somewhat fragile. What if it rolls less than 'normal' damage? Confused

Not necessarily what I would do. Just an alternative. As far as deftness I'm usually content to leave it at 11. It is wise to do so. However, I ran a 21 deftness piker with a 5 CN to a 19-9-4 record. I might try this one too. For me Parry Strike relies on versatility and good challenges more than anything. I rarely run in ADM and Parry Strike might be my favorite style at the moment in basic. As for damage, if a sz 9 with 10 st rolled little damage I would ask for a refund because something is broken. If you don't get a little lucky with good damage then normal damage would do. This guy would hit the head more often than not. I put the extra point on strength to get close to QS and LO sword requirements. Those plus the scimitar would be a fine selection.

As much as I have read about warrior design and etc (and as long as I've been playing) it seems odd to me sometimes that I have never experimented much with certain styles. Stayed with ST, WoS, and SL primarily. Just like them and have been very successful with them -- most have had winning records -- until they died.

When I try other styles, particularly Parry styles, I quickly get in over my head. I have run a few successful TPs, but only scum TPs, which doesn't really count, does it?

High DF styles... talking about 15+... I'm thinking AB, SL, WoS, PR. Most managers don't make SLs or WoSs with DF much higher than 11, I know, but I've had some huge winners (SL/Wos) with that high DF stat and so I tend to keep it high.

PS with a high DF? Will have to think on that. I tried running a team with nothing but PS, but after a year I just gave in and stopped the experiment. Mostly not good; but I did learn a few things about the style. The hard way. Wink
